Mage focus turn in items

Im doing the mage focus quests and I have "a stein" its equipable - unlike the one shown in the p99 wiki which shows it as not being equipable whereas the other main pieces for the other focus items are equipable

Any mages out there know about this or anyone with exp. relating to these quests
