Creating leveling guides for my favorite zones turns out to be a deeply enjoyable form of autistic art.

Please vote on which relatively untrodden zone you'd like a leveling guide about.

Cazic-Thule
Crystal Caverns
Runnyeye
Najena
Kaesora

fuck would a mod please delete this or put those options into a pOll thanks okbye

I vote Kaesora.

Najena or befallen. Can’t seem to ever get myself to level in these.

Najena.

Do a series of "off the beaten path" levelling guides that link up to one another.

Make a guide on how to stay out of RnF and be a good guy.

Najena

If you sincerely feel this way there is a petition section on the forums.
my vote is still for najena. Great alternative option instead of kurns tower and far less camped.

Those zones have tents which according to you do not exist in EQ... They are not your favorites.

I vote kedge keep.

Do one on Crushbone, a zone which has very little foot traffic and is shrouded in mystery.

all these runnyeye votes make my knob swell with pride for the p99 community

i do like shrub's idea of really going out there and doing a Crushbone guide.

@man with wombat avatar,(QUinas? Keen-ass?) yes I'm intending on making a connected series of off-path dungeon guides. I can only do one every 2 weeks to a month b/c it takes me a few hours to put it all together.

I love kaesora would like to see one so it's not so hard to convince people to go there. Runnyeye too since I haven't been there after revamp.

Voting Najena.

Fun fact, original EQ dev team says it is pronounced 'Nah-Jehn-ah' or some such thing. Pronouncing it that way in my head made me want to go there more than 'Naj-een-ah' (too close to Vajena).

Really could be a popular zone:
1) Vendors outside in Lavastorm which also have Bandages and other supplies
2) Druid ring right outside to beg for noob rides or port outs
3) Neriak right nearby, wine quest awareness can let most people bank there safely
4) EC <5min run... beg for buffs if are a loser or if you want to buy some upgrades
5) Undead and Elementals make good use of situational spells
6) Filthy Dark Elf blood can be spilled there... learn from this so you can eventually cut your ties with Neriak and launch an invasion for the glory of Rivervale

There, I wrote your intro for you.

I'll second that. All noobs should take the plunge into the Gorge at least once.

My vote is for Cazic-Thule. I remember spending a fair amount of time in open groups there on live, but here it seems pretty dead. I've tried going in to solo the zone on my ench but didn't know it well enough to make it work.

Cazic-thule or Dalnir

Najena and xorbb are just too small.

CT or Kaesora. Bonus points for Kaesora because you can bind melee outside.

Both are challenging zones, with CT being extra sketchy due to mob groupings, number of wanderers and healers.

Like we discussed the other day, Dalnir is a cool place, but a total iron fist of fisting (paraphrasing).

Runnyeye, zone has alot to it but it's almost completely unused on p99.... I suspect this is due to its proximity to the halflings

I'm definitely going to make a Runnyeye guide. It will be after the next one, because I just put out the Sol A guide which is almost identical level range. It's a Goblin Citadel in some tunnels and Sol A is a Goblin City in some tunnels.

Leaning towards Najena because it's a very low level dungeon and pretty unique

even though I want a creative write-up on CT, I want plebs to stay out of it even more. Let's go for CC

I liked your Sol A guide but for Najena you should highlight some of the quest mobs. The Sol A guide should mention that the Grimlox dude camped a lot, people running down to buy Tink Bags. I get that it was a "leveling" guide but you should consider what people do in dungeons besides leveling.

In Nejena I use to run there to kill magicians for parts of focus items, the high elf lady for the mystic cloak quest, and I am sure there are other Sol Ro armor quest drops in Nejena along with Sol A that you did not point out. One of the reasons I believe they added the Sol Ro and epic quests was to give people something to work on while leveling.
