Well thats it for me guys. Been playing off and on since 2012 and got really back into it this past year. Its about time to hang it up and focus on other things in life, family, friends, passions and pursuits.

I will say that even though some (myself included) have had a sort of love/hate relationship with the game... and I found myself coming back to it when other things in life weren't going as good. This was still a great experience. This game and the fantastic bunch of people in it at the very least helped distract and even get past some of the other hurdles in life we all deal with.

For that I am trully grateful.

I was trying to finish outfitting a final character as my last hurrah, with the final piece a crafted velium warsword to go with my exquisite... and I may come back to the forums every now and then to bump the EC post. But I figure leaving at an unresolved point is a good way to end it. Noone ever really beats EQ.

I hope this server and the community that makes it all the best - and it lasts for years and years to come. In 20 years I can login and see my old toons still waiting to be xp'ed.

So true, somehow the carrot has already remained out of arms reach for me. Whether it was finishing that next quest or working towards that next item. I always seem to find another 'milestone' to chase.

I feel ya OP. With a 2 and 1/2 year old, it makes finding time to play tough. And nobody wants to group with the guy who only gets an hour here or there.

My time to play EQ has completely evaporated and when I do get to play, I think of the 900 other things I need to be doing.
