Ive often wondered how many are active from Brell too. Back in the day I was Chinto, red headed human druid of (The Burning Shield) and later (Elysian). Later on in EQ life I morphed into Faulkner, half elf rogue of (Watchers).

The player list seems a little out dated. Would love to hear from Ex Brell players though.

Yeah but does anybody actually read or update that thread anymore? It hasn't been active in months. There may be more lurkers out there. Who knows?

I played on Brell from the opening of the server until about 6 months after Velious. I was a slow starter, the idea of having a new place to start from scratch sounded fun to me. Had a Wood Elven Warrior named Dantes, and now here on P99 I'm just about the same - except a DE this time. Dunno what it is about unconventional Warrior races but I seem to be stuck on them.

I had my own guild for quite a while, ValorBlade. We were a roleplayer guild and did a lot of dueling, guildwars and general non-uber fun. Eventually I decided that I did want to check out some uber content so I ended up joining The Burning Shield so I could do more raiding, the same guild Chinto was in. (And now we're both in the same guild again, woohoo Vesica Dei!)

It would be cool to see more folks from Brell on here, but my memory is so shot from it being 10 years ago that I don't even know how many folks names I would recognize... lol!

Later Squalor was deleted and I rolled a High Elf Chanter named Cendywen.

Dantes, I was actually in your guild Valorblade and I remember the day you disbanded the guild. I was sitting solb doing nothing other than remembering some of the great times I had. I don't think I ever grouped with you much, but I spent a lot of Saturdays camping fangs in mistmoore for EBWs with guildmates.

I was Ainvar, the golden dwarf cleric.

Sometime after Kunark came out, I switched to playing a dwarf paladin by the name of Delvean as my main and never looked back. I was in a couple of guilds with him, but eventually found my home with the Knights of Freedom.

Ainvar! You are the first VB'er I've seen on here. Right on. Yeah we had some good times. Mistmoore was one of the dungeons I was really excited about seeing again once I found P99. I really enjoyed our arena meetings with all the dueling too. Nobody really does that on here that I know of.

I'm originally from Brell, and have been around a long time. I was never in SR, but I may as well have had a "Twinked by SR" T-shirt. Loke, your avatar brings to mind the old Brell Rants site that Relbeek Einre put together (he had a gnecro alt / phony account that used the same pic). I'd add Ulver to the list of early Brellians listed here. He was a big help getting my original toon up and running.

Silent Redemption was the TR of Brell, but they didn't kill all the boss/dragons 5 minutes after they spawned. There wasn't any other guild that could do what they did every day. I was in skyre draneth,which was able to compete with SR for bosses for a short period.
If anyone knows my friend Kosaghn from Brell(circa 1999-2002), I would love to know.

Sprengerae 51 DE mage camped at the corner of the docks in the Gulf of Gunthak. I got to the point where I could start cooking AA's and quit leveling until I get the gd Pegasus cloak. So I'm level 51 with a crapload of AAs (for my level) I was in a couple of guilds none of any note.

I was Torakus (warrior) Torakun (druid), played on Brell from Dec 1999 until .....shit I don't know, but it was a long time. Was in Exile, Guardians of the Relics, Illuminatis. Haven't heard from Kosaghn in a long long time. A lot of Illuminatis reformed in WoW, but I don't think Kos did. Cetra, Trayz, Hogg, Djalal, and a few others did.

This brings back memories. I did a google search of my character's name today to see if any of the stupid shit I did an age ago still remained. For better or worse or just as an iconic display of what early internet idiots look like, my posts were still there. Sort of makes one want to reach back through time and strangle yourself.

I played on Brell as well. HE Paladin, and later, was working on a WE Bard named Llannu and a barb Warrior named Tilana. I actually started the game playing a male DE necromancer named Kaelael, but switched to female characters a short while later.

Started the game shortly after it's release, when I saw some people playing it in an internet cafe. These were most of the early Legion of Heroes guys: Justise, Tanavan (sp?), and a few others. It's been so long I can't remember all of their names. There was even a cleric who's name started with an O that I can't remember, but one day had everyone cheering when his BP finally dropped after countless raids in the Plane of Hate - I remember that BP being very frustrating to get because early on, the drop rates were stupid low.

Anyway, I made my own guild called Knights of the Magi that did very well, until I ran it into the ground. Had a few stints with some other guilds, but mostly spent the remainder of my EQ time guildless, slumming around the higher level zones and doing the odd raid with other guilds. I was in Imperium for a good minute, but other than that I'm having trouble remembering anything else I was a part of.

Man... I mean... Man! Good game, Google. I did not expect to even see any remnant of a Brell community at all. Hope everyone is enjoying their games.

I started playing the first week of August 1999 on Brell since it was the server at the top of the screen and was not full. I quit after PoP and never went on to play WoW like many others. I had some great times with the people of Brell and was in Skyre Draneth before it imploded. I eventually quit for many reasons, particularly the wife aggro.

it was enclave, and Yndo was the leader, until he got drunk and disbanded the guild.

I know, because i worked for weeks to get in, finally got in, and then the next time i logged on, the guild didnt exist!

I ended up in Silent redemption later, as a wizard named Vumlarr.

I definitely remember a lot of people in here. I dueled Hallogen many times, Arclan led my first ever raid, it was a kedge raid, where this douchbag enchanter drowned and we all laughed.

Wow lots of Brell people here. I played Azzlin, gnome necro, during a lot of Classic/Kunark. My monk was Endevor, who I raided a lot with Minute's crew. And my wizard was Freez who was in Misericordia raiding Luclin/PoP. I was young at the time and could never stick to a char but these 3 chars were all max level at one time during different eras.

Brell was the best server, loved the community there! Played from '99 till just after the expansion after PoP. Did play WoW but had always said EQ would be the game I came back to, then I found Project1999! Loving it.

Knights of Freedom, my alt was in there Ublaatz Tidalblade - Eru SK, with my friend Oenar TidalBlade - Eru Pally Good times. Played a Halfling Druid named Verbena in Cad Goddeu, I was the only one carrying that tag for quite some time.. Nerbalik and Perfidious are also back in action on this server. I play to many alts and don't level fast.. or ever :)

a Bunch of us SR guys ended up on the same server as them during Vanguard's release, and we grouped all the time.

Oh yeah, any of you guys remember GM Zaose? Funniest guy ever.

Sometimes he'd watch us raid, and randomly grab the main tank and spin him around backwards facing away from the mob.

Of course he had GM invis, so nobody could see him, and the MT would be like wtf is going on?

Once I was walking down the stairs in Emerald Jungle, and I suddenly get thunderstruck (the spell with the gigantic knockback), and I knew he was up to his usual tricks lol.
