How does this weapon's aggro compare to other weapons? It apparently has 5 poison counters which is a lot.

Could be totally wrong, but poison counters don't mean anything in terms of hate - only hp loss, stuns, stat debuffs, and slows count.

The hate on a spell/proc is also front loaded, so that proc looks to be about 66 hate - less than a ykesha proc without the stun.

If that was the case, Infestation wouldn't be a prime aggro weapon for warriors with it's proc "Poison"

1 : Increase Poison Counter by 3
2 : Decrease HP when cast by 12
3 : Decrease Hitpoints by 10 per tick

and this Whip's proc is:

Increase Poison Counter by 5
2 : Decrease HP when cast by 10
3 : Decrease Hitpoints by 8 per tick

I'd think it would do alright

Pretty certain 1counter=100 hate...

1 poison counters is around 300 hate, not 100.

5 poison counters is pretty epic threat.

How rare is the whip?

Poison counters are amazing which is why troch skean was viable despite low dps

I always thought it was the stun component.

So here's a question. What about the hate generated from disease counters rather than poison counters?

Poison counters are an old RPG carry over. You'd roll dice to remove them. In the game, you cast progressively stronger cure poison spells to remove them or a low one a bunch of times. No idea how they affect hate but I would guess that they're irrelevant as far as agro generation. It's based on damage and secondary effects.

Those are good too, this is why sk spell disease cloud is such great aggro?

You say that but everyone knows infestation is one of the best aggro weapons out there and the damage on the proc is quite low. It may seem non intuitive but counters do generate aggro.

I take it you’ve never used:

Not a good ratio at all but it’s pretty stellar aggro. Poison counters give threat per counter and it’s significant.

As a sk my main agro source is a 1hp dot with a 5dd component... Accounting for around 60damage total, I wouldn't be agroing anything if the single disease counter had no effect...

1 counter = 250 hate. That's why they're so good.

The blind whip has another problem, though it was recently made a bit better. Originally if you got out of melee range for an instant the mob would run off like he was ... blind. Now it has to be out of everyone's melee range to do so. Still if your enchanter thinks your target would make a nice pet and charms it while blind, you got big trouble (immediately have the enchanter camp). Otherwise the mob runs off through all it's buddies to wherever the hell they go and as soon as charm breaks it's coming back, with everything along it's path.

The good news is the charm wipes the aggro list of everyone but the enchanter so if they camp before charm wears off you'll be OK.

Bump on this. Curious if anyone has seen this item in game? If so this is pretty big... 18 delay and five poison counters...
