Tried to get panda claws on my main for my lower bard to make wakazashi of frozen skies.

Found one on a merchant but realised I can't get the other due to stupid loot code thing.

Can I pull to ZL, wound one and zone and then have the bard finish it off if it's not in a group?

As long as the person can get xp from it, yes.

Yeah, pretty sure you can only be too high for the mob. Not too low.

I didn't even know this was a thing. I have looted decaying skeletons on my lvl 60 no problem(can you honestly expect me to pass up a cracked staff!?). Is it for specific quest items or something?

only in the warrens and stonebrunt mountains as far as i know.
i've always disliked that as well, it feels so off to all the other zones on p99.

So when warrens and stonebrunt was first added they forgot to add the trivial loot code and high level players were screwing over low level players.

Trivial loot will be removed either in the next big patch or the final patch of velious on p99.

(Yes trivial loot for warrens and stonebrunt was added and later removed in velious era
March 2001 & Novemeber 2001)

Briefly, the Trivial Loot Code works like this: If a character kills an NPC and that NPC does not give them experience, then the Trivial Loot Code takes effect. If any member of a group does not get experience for a kill, the Trivial Loot Code will take effect. The Trivial Loot Code prevents magical, lore and no-drop items from appearing on the corpse. Normal items and coins will appear on the corpse in all cases as usual.

Trivial Loot code has been removed from the Stonebrunt Mountains and the Warrens.

So it's likely that the trivial loot will be removed after the chardok 2.0 patch, unless they lump it in.

Ah right thought it's removal was post classic.

So do we know when that patch is? Even roughly?

Wondering if waiting it out is an option...

Wow, reading Baler's link, apparently you couldn't bind at as a melee on the iceclad dock until Nov. 11, 2001. Now I feel unclassic for having bound there already.

Better deleted that tainted character or feel everlasting shame.

Good idea. Got to maintain the classic feel at all costs. That's why I play on an old 56K dial up modem
