Would like to get dain ring for my brothers char, really don't want to skill up tradeskills again.
Is it possible to say, get as far as the quest with the Coldain skinning knife, give it to his char and hand in the ring, and he hads in the knife.
Or some other point in the first 8 rings where we could swap ownership of the rings somehow?
Also for ring nine, where you kill all the traitors, does every alt have to raise their brewing skill to that horrible amount? Or can one person knock the mob out with the tonic and the other character takes charge from there?
Thanks.

I've sold a couple rings in the past and will tell u easiest step to mq is ring 6 just kill an extra rodrick and have your bro loot the head, then you turn in ring and other peices then he turns in head, only thing he has to be present for is looting the dwarf traitors head which spawn a couple times per eq day.
Can also mq ring 6 to them at the start of ring 7 by having your bro loot the shackle key you turn in ring and he turns in key 2nd to start the escort quest and upon success of the escort he will have ring 7 and can turn in for marching orders
Hope this helps cheers

Ring 9 brewing part, someone else can brew and turn in for you and then you loot head and note

You can mq ring 10 without ever doing any of the rings by looting narandis head and having someone with a ring 9 mq. Most of the stages of the ring can be mqed. For instance, i have all the appropriate trade skills on one toon. I mq rings of all sizes to my alts for instance i just put ring 6 and 7 on my 30 rogue with no trade skills on him

Hm.. As far as i Know you can MQ even the Ring 10. Ive MQed ring 9 and 7 b4... But I would imagine ring + head = Ring 10.

You'll probably have to join one of the raid guilds and farm up some dkp if u want ring 10
Pretty sure it's rotated and they probably have so many members that want it they will never sell it, even if they do would prolly cost millions of plat

MQ Ring 2 - You have Ring 1, guide person through escort and get broken Axe.
MQ Ring 3 - You have Ring 2, trade hunting knife to person.
MQ Ring 4 - You have Ring 3, trade Velium Hammer to person.
MQ Ring 5 - You have Ring 4, kill Scarbrow and let person loot head.
MQ Ring 6 - You have Ring 5, kill Rodrick and let person loot Head/Dirk or do Icefang escort and let person loot Poxbourne note.
MQ Ring 7 - You have Ring 6, kill Warden Burke and let person loot Key. You turn in Ring 6 to Corbin and they turn in Key, then you do the event to lead Corbin to safety and they turn in for Note -> Ring 7.
MQ Ring 8 - You have Ring 7, kill Chief RyGorr and let person loot head.
MQ Ring 10 - You have Ring 9, let person loot Narandi head
So the MQ of Ring 9 is weird. A it requires Dain be up which is a stupid camp to wait for while MQing something. B it requires either the MQee have a Ring 8 or they have a completed box of heads (you should only be able to obtain this box by having a Ring 8) so basically the MQer needs a dummy Ring 8 to continually get boxes to MQ them. In summary this is basically the only step not really worth MQing at.
Thanks for all the info y'all nice to hear from former guildies too!
