If you were to wake up tomorrow and it was February 1999, and EverQuest was coming out again in a month, how would you play it with all the knowledge you have now? (All other future knowledge except for EQ has been wiped lol)
Classic EverQuest is different than a p1999 experience in that there weren’t super geared, super efficient raid guilds that can pull and kill mobs in ToV/Kael/Vp etc mere minutes after they spawn. You’d also know at some point Luclin and beyond would drop and the class you would play here might not be what you’d play on live.
So if you were given the chance to do it all again for real, what would you do, what would you play, how would you level and gear up?!

If I were to wake up and it was 1999 I would tell everyone that on May 28, 2016, a three-year-old boy will try to climb into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo.

I‘d kill one single blue con mob per day.
And see how far it would take me until 2018.

1999 - I'd probably do more drugs and hang out with real people instead of playing EQ tbh.
Gross real people

Hmm on the one hand, real classic was better than 99, otoh Luclin will come out and ruin it and then all your playing would be for nothing.
So on balance I'd work on RL, I'd read and excercise and probably go to Uni.

Sports Almanac bet my way into a small fortune, then go large into bitcoin. Be retired by 30. Play P99/EQ for the first time. Maybe.
Easy answer.

Make as much money as I could selling plat on ebay. Make a druid and a bard and just powerlevel new accounts to 50 and sell them for a few hundred dollars each. Something like that.

The post says all future knowledge is wiped other than EQ knowledge, so fourteen year old you wouldn’t know any more than you did the first time about bitcoin

I'd take a video camera and tape every bit of everquest as well as taking plenty of notes, so there will be plenty of evidence of gameplay for P99... oh... wait... I wouldn't know about P99 back then, would I. Never mind. :p

I'd probably do mostly Smithing like I do now, except making a killing on that starter Banded armor before almost everyone has so much plat that they just spend 1 or 2k on a set of quested gear for their alts.
Make profits, save up and skill up for release of plate dyes and cultural (after the enchanting cost change), and be a happy smith with shiny coins in his bank vault.

I suppose just hoard items that later get removed like manastones etc and make bank. I enjoyed the classes I played and still do, so that wouldn't change.

I'd rather lose the eq knowledge and play thru as a noob again
