My first post was adding to a gripe on the /rant forum. So, seeing as how I'm newly registered and this will be my second post I may as well introduce myself lest I lead with bitching and complaining only ;-).
I had played Everquest back when I was just a lad, in the year ~2000ish. It was my (and my fathers) first mmorpg. After expansion 1x10^3241 I lost interest in EQ. Seems like this was about the time veriant let SOE take over. I haven't found a game yet that could replace the way it made me feel.
I joined the United States Navy a little over a year ago. After being horribly homesick and far removed from my friends and family, p1999 has given a means for me to "hang out" with my brother and pops again.
So, thank you all for P1999. Seriously, Rogean, Uthgaard, Nilborg, Haynar and anyone else I'm forgetting. Thank you so much for the opportunity to spend more time with my family :-).
And remember, for every one bitchy, whiny jerk posting on the forums, there are a dozen that love what you do and this game.
-Very respectfully, Galahad1st
tl;dr - Thankyou for p1999 devs/community.
