Hello,
i just found a CD with old Screenshots from my time on VallonZek.

I am going to share some of them, maybe someone finds himself on them.

First:
We were in Sebilis Disco, i had a hardcore playingtime during those days. That session was about 18 hours. I told them i should stop, i were falling assleep over my keyboard but they just wanted "one more hour"
I finally fell asleep, it realy happened. woke up in the last second... As you see, i was the only one who survived:

Nice shots! Were these the entire collection? I must let you know that I'm a junkie for old EQ screenshots, I try to analyze them for clues wherever I can for hints about Classic EQ features (faction hits, mob locations, pet names, etc).

Is there a way you could get me the entire bunch? Not sure how many there are.

I have got about 600 and 340 Artemi gave me once, wich i found as well.

It is about 1gig of Data. not sure i could transfer them. Most of them in .bmp.
I just converted the few to .jpg i used for the forum here.

Only thing would be via some sort of file transfer server. never did such thing.

I can make the admins mad and host them all here, But that would be very time consuming, time i need for leveling up :)

I haven't any Ebon Dawn myself, i was most of the time in Fanatiques, don't even know if i played enough to join Ebon Dawn myself.
But: Artemi gave me a bunch of his Screenshots those d ays. lucky me i kept them as well.
I met him last year on a marriage of a friend of us, talked about thos old days ( as long he was able to, got drunk fast and much :) )

this should do the trick for a while. maybe they should realy be shared for everybody to never be forgotten to whole who participated on those events.

I had a great time on VZ and if i am playing on P99 now it feels so fantastic. All those years i wanted to play EQ again but didn't want to pay all the time becaus sometimes there are breaks when you don't play.
Now i can play on like i am doing with UO on a freeshard. Casual gaming, sometimes more and sometimes less.
It is a great job the staff is doing here to keep something great alive and let so many people have a good time.
Dear staff: even if we /cry sometimes, you know we don't mean to. We are happy that we have this great game alive for us.

Ah, is just saw, you ment Ancient Dawn.
Didn't find any of those. There were so many guildmerges those days and i that time a was already playing a bit less. Even in Artemis i havent found some. There is Xanit and then changing to Ebon Dawn (and after that there was the X-Team merge with Ancient Orden to Ancient Dawn if i remember right?)
I remember doing this 4 headed dragon during PoP expansion with Ancient Dawn. That was one of the last things is did on EQ live.
Probably Artemi made some more that time. I should get his nr. and ask him (and force him to join P99 :) )

Yeah i meant the AO/ED merge time, which was at late luclin/ start of PoP era.
We also have a fb channel with lots of screenshots, but they mostly are post PoP and not P99 material =)

Yep, we stayed at your place after the guild meeting. If I remember correctly (after lots of ale) we also watched "Army of Darkness", well, at least until I fell asleep...
Nice, Leprosa is there on a screenshot. We are still RL friends after all those years :)

oh then i have to confess something:
All those years i had a camera lieng around in a cupboard.
3 years ago when i bought a house i got rid of it (never checked the photos, i am sure the film was to old to be processed.
I think it was yours? Damn, today i feel sad for those Photos wich are lost now.
Menrye and Cendric where there also if iremember right.

Damn me, was to lazy to check what photos that where on it.

Have you uploaded the whole collection anywhere yet? I know myself and probably quite a few others would enjoy digging through them. It becomes harder to find these historical gaming gems as time goes on... uploading them is a good idea anyway imho.

I zipped them and they are only 277MB, so not a big deal.

Killing Caliel (in one of your screenshots) is quite a feat lol. I remember in PoP when he would attack entire raids with his DA hammer and survive for ages.

Also seeing Bolas name was refreshing. When I was a noobie bard leveling in Crushbone he would buy the bloods from the slaves from me, lol. I believe it was for blacksmithing.

I was super young back in most of these, but my family (older cousins,) played in Red Phoenix (I believe that was the name,) then Aerist/Zephyros/Defiant. I myself was in Aerist then eventually got into Defiant. I played until EQ2 came out, then never went back to live.

sometimes i am thinking about it for the thrill, but most at the time i am playing very casual.

ATM i am going to stay on blue and make some more levels but i always consider to give it a try again.

But i won't be playing a clothy then anymore. High resist at other players can be a pain in the *** sometimes.

OMG: RZ-ruleset. I remember making a gnome necro and someone stole my newbe robe, i was so mad :eek:

I would like to share all those screenshots with anybody.
Can someone tell me a good way to do so?
Google drive seems that i need groups for that or give access to special people.
