but it still says (in character names)
spells file outdated
go to Getting Started page

windows vista / windows 7 UAC, mentitioned like 100 times on this forum ...

you installed EQ on C: and UAC prevented the files from beeing updated / overwritten ...

try this http://moestaverne.com/eqemulauncher122.zip just extract it anywhere (EQ directory would probably best) start it, set the path to EQ and it will patch the files automaticly ...

or disable UAC ... or delete the files in the folder first, then extract and overwrite ...

Instead of doing it manually use the Installer in my signature. It will setup the game for you in a couple clicks :)

yeah, doesnt offer all those fixes though :) As far as I know some of those features are only offered by that installer. (i.e Underwater sound fix, shrinking, cpu fix, etc etc...)

yeah thats right, it doesnt "fix" anything besides the CPU affinity, it updates to standard UI, keeps that and the spell files up to date ... everything server standard ... if the P99 staff would want it to patch other files too they could add the files any time ...

i found i just need to delete ''/locale:xx'' to get into the game

"C:\Everquest\eqgame.exe " patchme /locale:xx

for the people not in us maybe

that should not have been there at all if you followed the installation instructions on the front page ... the only thing after eqgame.exe should be "patchme" and nothing else ...
