High Keep - it's so nostalgic, and the exp and cash are great when you're low level

The Warrens. Fun killing kobolds and can be dangerous for those not geared. Lots of roamers and The Muglwump!

The hole, because it has interesting lore and is underutilized in comparison to KC and the like.

Ocean of Tears. Massive leveling range with solid exp. Immense size that really gives me that feeling of isolation and self reliance. Plus Allizewsaur is one of the most shocking and strange things classic EQ has to offer.

South Karana: there's always something to do if you're the appropriate level, and the zone is full of little "EQ mysteries", with Quillmane obviously being the pinnacle.

Honorable mention for Plane of Sky and Kedge Keep because I love how both of those zones are so different from any other zone in the game.

Rivervale: Jumjum and the soothing ambience of our town band. What more could you want?

Lower level Kurns Tower cuz exp is so good.

Old Sebilis for higher level content because it’s pretty challenging yet manageable for a small group at almost every camp. It also provides a lot of good loot and gem droppage.

Plane of Mischief.

Craziest zone, funnest zone, most chill zone. Praise Bristlebane.

Oh man that's a hard one... its a toss up between Blackburrow and Field of Bone. Both take me back to classic, leveled many a character through both those zones, and still do!

I always loved Surefall Glade. I don't think I've ever had a legit reason to go there, but it's peaceful and pretty.

Dalnir, when level appropriate. Very dangerous and very exciting. Always try to run my alts through there with a group.

I love Kael

I like turning in crates full of dorf heads and drinking rare alcoholic beverages with the giants and also slaughtering them for hours and hours at a time in the arena or plate house

Guk for me easily

I spent a lot of time in lower guk deadside on live as a pally, such an amazing zone with incredible loot at the time. Very fond memories camping mobs like frenzy and the arch magus a long long time ago.

On P1999 I’ve learned to appreciate upper guk as well, running almost all my alts through there. So many great places the get exp, even outside of the standard “camps”. Feels like a maze and rewards you for learning the layout and quirks of the zone.

Outside of Guk I really love steamfont for some reason. Such a great newbie zone!

Befallen was my first trip to a dungeon back in the day. Weird glowing-eye skulls everywhere, rats, shadowknights that harm touch, and the inevitable death due to falling down the well. I tried for hours to get my corpse out of there before some kind OOC'er told me about the /corpse command working from level 1.

Felwithe, purely because of nostalgia.

But also because... hidden tunnels.

Mistmoore for sure. A winding path to DE Vampires in the forest. A castle filled with secrets, gargoyles, and werewolves. Epic trains.

What hidden tunnels?
You might find a secret if you descend to the bottom floor of the paladin guild and check the wall...

Neriak and Nektulos. I grew up there on my first char, it's always going to be "home".

For hunting, I like the guks. Most of my chars level there, you can stay there almost forever.

No one ever mentioned it but ... Najena. What a messed up zone, in a fun way. If you go in straight from the entrance, you get your first exposure to tentacle terrors that punt you great distances, into other mobs if you're real unlucky. Then there are the sick torture chamber areas with dismembered dwarves etc. hanging from meathooks. Of course, there's the jail where you can get trapped. And mages, sooo many mages! At that level range, the pets are almost as strong as their owner, and there are goblin as well as dark elf mages. If you run into that 5 goblin spawn and 4 of the 5 spawns are mages, good luck to you.

And there are minotaurs! spiders! Ogre gangs with a captain! And that little maze to get to the named. What a wacky place. It's probably a reflection of the damaged mind of the guy that runs the place.
