I would say LoY because I actually had a lot of fun in those zones, and they where thematically awesome, and Temperance was so cool.

The Bazar was evil, but overall Luclin was neat too.

Didn't mind LoY myself either. I think it was a proper amount of content. A new race, a few new zones, and some quality of life changes. Sounds like the perfect Eq expansion.. Didn't play it much though, i was on my way out the door for the next decade at this point. I feel like the new model toons, and my parents computer that couldn't keep up with current technology was my cause to leave. I could not get used to those goofy toons..

beastlord was a really fun class but i cant bring myself to say luclin.

i think ldon could have been the best one if they had made the dungeons a little more unique. i was glad they brought people back to the old world though.

for pvm, ill have to go with PoP
for pvp, classic the best

Planes of Power was my favorite. I enjoyed the social hub of PoK / Plane of Tranquility. Tradeskilling was very nice during this era. I remember getting those awesome group buffs behind the bank and having a blast. The level progression through the planes was a lot of fun. Lots of memorable zones for me here. I personally enjoyed AA's and the continued development here was great.

All those cats on the moon haters obviously made additional forum accounts to vote for Velious, because they are scared server will move on to Luclin - viewed objectively the best add-on ever - if the popular vote demands it.

Gates and Omens were the peak of EQ's raiding game, and the worst for casual and low end guilds. Luclin and PoP were the best for non-raiding players. LDoN and LoY were good. Dragons was mediocre but I enjoyed it up to the live beta testing of the miserable fucking Vishimtar the Unfinished. Depths of Darkhollow was the beginning of the end.

As a devout follower of Solusek Ro, defeating his avatar in battle was a fun achievement, falling through the floor before collecting my progression key piece thingy and making my entire raid force do it again for me was not...PoP was really good to wizards so still probably PoP even with the headaches.

Honestly House of Thule was a great expansion. The last good one even.

Best overall is probably Planes of Power/Legacy of Ykesha/LDoN era.

Zone into Dragon NEcropolis ONCE (gated real quick)
Kael Raids to get friendly with SkyShrine

Some Wakening Lands guild thing the Genoid caves area and rage quit said guild when they wouldn't help me get a Phenocryst focus?
Barely able to play Luclin, was real mad about a fucking planet full of cats

Vaguely recollect some Trials in PoP, remember the PoK books killing my wizard portaling business
Went back to Quad Kiting Raptors while questioning the meaning of game world life as I sat at my computer reading Whizbang Dustboots [Graffe's forum poster] WoW alpha adventures wondering why I was quad kiting my life away and not having fun in EverQuest, a world I no longer recognized.

Finally quit EQ until stumbling here in late 2010 and finally rolling my first character in February 2011.

Planes, AAs were excellent and classes fleshed out more. Tons of stuff to do casual or raid. I used to be very anti bazaar until trying to buy research spells for 36 hours and grew tired of blinding yellow walls.

P99 pretends post Velious expansions never existed, the parent companies went belly up and the game was lost.

It was found again by some hardy adventurers and a new company with a love for what made EQ what it is got the rights to make new expansions.

Luclin was a great expansion aside from the space cats. Had some really cool zones like Acrylia Caverns, and beast Lord was a great class.

Velious never did much for me, seemed to be way Too much risk for the reward for the casual player.

Luclin for me..... At the time the AA set me apart from alot of players (I can grind harder than most ppl when I'm motivated to do so)

I thought luclin did well if you look past the fubar model updates. Ssra and Vt keys and bane weapons where annoying but not anywhere near as bad as planar attunements in PoP

Luclin classes seemed alot more fair, in PoP any class with charm was belligerently OP

I feel luclin did it's theme wrong as to what EQ players liked and expected. Space cats, vampires, snake ppl, shadow Demi god that was never mentioned before?

Where POP theme hit the mark. Remember plane of fear and hate? Well now go F up more planes of exsistce whoop more deity butts!

I came back for about 2-3 months around the time of Underfoot, everyone was having a good time still doing House of Thule content. Wasn't long after that and SOE being idiots shutting the new server down I played on that I found P99 instead :)

Voted Kunark though, in a world with an accurate timeline I don't think there was a more fun expansion ^^
