What Classes are Needed?

I just came across this emu last week and I'm pretty excited to find classic EQ alive and well. Luckily I had a copy of Titanium collecting dust....

Just wondering, for someone starting a new toon if there are any particular classes in need here? Are there too many of any particular class? I prefer grouping to solo work....just want to be of use while I'm visiting.

There's a thousand+ people playing. There's no single class desperately needed.

Play the class you'll enjoy, based on whether you plan to solo or not, and what appeals to you.

Be an Iksar monk! They are the perfect class, really.

Great time to make an Iskar anything and level it up. You will be Mr. Popular with a high level leezard.

Your two best bets are:

1 . ) Cleric - For every 3 clerics that quit each day, only 1 new one arises. Now that kunark is out and people will be playing their 'mains' expect to see yet another shortage of clerics.

2. ) Shaman - Haste n Slows n melee buffs. People love em. Also a darn sight easier to solo than a cleric, and no need for Jboots.

Both classes also have the added bonus of being duo/trio friendly as well as desired in full groups.
