I caved and came back to p99 :) I don't have a lot of time to play and when I do I'm usually not able to 100% commit to being "present" in the game. My main is a 47 druid and I like finding spots where I can pick a mob, solo it, and then sort of semi-afk doing things like homework, watching a movie, etc. while I med up. I went from 42-46/47 in DL sitting off to the right of the tunnel from the combines on the mountainous, snowy side. I've found NK by the druid rings is actually kind of an ok spot with griffons and the occasional HG, plus there is a vendor right there at the rings which is pretty nice.
What other spots do you guys like to use that are similar to this?
Also, my main's name is Sooby. Hit me up if you ever need a port/SoW/whatever :)

Along the KC wall in the dreadlands is good. You could technically stay there until 60 as some Ravashing Drolvargs are still dark blue even at 58.
If you have a lumi staff, round up 4 mobs, aoe kite them and med 5-10 minutes. Depending on your race you can probably hide in between too. I don't recommend afking otherwise because sometimes bards die or zone their large kites and the mobs path back through KC.

Cool, I need to check that out. I always liked DL back on live. I love big open outdoor zones!

bloodgills in LOIO are good til 51 or so, and plenty of safe spots to afk nearby.

On my druid I got a Lumi Staff and clicked it til 50 or 51 in TD off of the Spirocs.
Seafuries is usually empty to quad since nerf.
I deleted my druid a few years ago so I don't for sure remember what I did after TD. I went back to TD at some point to quad Raptors.
I would probably find stuff to charm if I were to do it again mid 50s and make sure you have a goblin ring.

What were you camping at this spot?

What were you camping at this spot?
It was just random mobs that wandered around. Like cockatrices and those ape things :p It wasn't very good loot, but it was easy to get to and totally safe if I sat up as far as I could go along the zone wall. Plus it put me close to KC to port people out if anybody was looking.

This. They are great xp. I stayed till 52. Most of the people killing here are quadding, but the majority are single pulls so you can root/rot one at a time if you like.

you dont need one. It just lets you quad indefinitely with no downtime and also gives insurance if you go oom.

It's a huge draw, they're running for about 5k lately.

I think I paid 4k about a year and a half ago for mine. At least the inflation isn't as bad as some items that could be named.

Not to hijack but...
...how about an animal charm spot for a level 50 druid?

Lumi staff is way too overhyped on this server. I pretty much only use it for a finishing blow or on greens as the casting time/low damage sucks. Even if it's more efficient, I'd rather just normally quad and go afk, especially at 49.
Emerald Jungle is a great charm spot for a 50 druid. Hang out by TT zone, use track to pull blues for days.

Going to try this tonight!
Kill any / all or looking for specific charm targets?

Pretty much anything that is still blue, track helps for that. But the majority should still be blue. And duoing with a partner using savage spirit is fun there too :)

I totally forgot about EJ. Definitely a cool place to do some charming. I found that doing this near COM was good too :) Plus you can get invited to a group and catch people needing ports there too.

I find they're always camped
Also, OP: the spriocs in TD are great exp. But you ain't gonna make any money out there. And you can't bind. So if you want to leave that spot, merchant, etc, you can't just gate back. It's a pain in the ass to get back.

I actually tried out the specters in Feerrott last night and it wasn't bad at all. Super easy kills and sometimes they drop scythes that can vendor for 11-12pp a pop, plus some random items that are good for a few plat here and there. The timer is only 6 mins for respawn, so it was perfect to kill, med back mana, repeat. Highly recommend it to anyone else looking for a nice little spot to solo.

Specters and Oggok guards are solid choices, but camped 90% of the time. But, druids can travel fairly easy. ;)

Yeah, it's definitely nice to be able to just jump around to wherever I feel like. My main on live was a warrior. Felt like traveling to some new place was like beginning a new era in my character's timeline. Now I probably port 6-7 times whenever I log in.

Spirocs in Timorous deep is bad ass. Non KOS mobs, can afk all day.

Bloodgill Goblins -
Cast a fresh lev on yourself before pulling 4 up on the lake bank to quad. Or if you have a lumi staff, pull all 8 and go crazy.
(afk invis on one of the platforms in the middle of the lake when medding. Don't think I needed invis but it always made me feel better)
Timorous Deep Spirocs -
Can AFK for days here, very quiet and chill.
Do you care about Halas faction? No?
The McMarrin Brothers in Everfrost -
(Guards Lish, Bandl, and.. Dom?) can be 'quadded' to grind you up though 54. They are low MR and low HP. The camp is usually free because most people want to be non-KOS in Halas.

The Everfrost guards camp has me intrigued... is there any downside to wrecking my faction with them as a halfling druid, aside from not being able to travel there?

There's a blue thru 50 hill giant in EK on a 6m40s timer and a blue thru 51 hill giant in WK on a 6m40s timer. neither have ph. Easy root rot. The exp is slow, but you'll make a buttload of plat while you exp on uncontested mobs.

This is false. A Lumi staff with a wolf bracelet and snare gloves is non-stop mana free quadding from 45-52 for 5k. I've done it on my druid for those levels and it was insanely more efficient than quadding without them. Definitely not overrated. I've used Lumi staff to kill mobs my druid wouldn't have been able to kill without it too. It took a half hour to down them, but it's better than running OOM and abandoning them.

Bloodgills root rot 44-51 is all you need if life.
They have 250 less hitpoints than other mobs their level. Ive leveled 6 chars there and at least 4+ of the bloodgills were not camped about 90% of the time.

Lummi staff at its best is easy self power leveling from 45 to 52 for a relatively cheap yet affordable for druids (cause port plat at low lvls)
At it's worst it's a low Mana or out of Mana safety net when quadding. I've even used it on my 60 epic druid when I was quading some things with too much health for my 2.8k Mana bar In order to finish off the last few % of their health
I am a little bias because i love free Mana clicks alot so I keep my lummi staff even on my 60 druid. But you can also just get on use it to PL yourself to 52 and then sell it for the same you bought it for

Why abandon mobs when oom? I used to quad on my druid on live and anytime I'd go oom I'd just run, med a tick or two...repeat that a couple times to get off another spell.....can't think of any time I abandoned a quad or kite simply because I ran oom.....worst case just make sure to recast snare

I feel like a crappy druid whenever I try charm killing in EJ lol. It seems like charm always breaks or I end up with a couple of adds and end up zoning so that I don't die.

Don't. EJ is the sesspit of Norrath. Worst zone ever. Should be set on fire.

Not sure if its been said yet - but CS wyvern's are great for quad kiting around that level range if you have enough mana or a Lumi staff makes it even easier.
