Core began as a small group of friends who wanted to play with people that have integrity and respect for their guildmates. We had a simple goal. To meet new people, and build up a raiding force that could effectively take out end game targets.

Our primary language is English. We strive to provide a fun raiding environment for adventure seekers across the world in all time zones.

We operate on a closed bid DKP system. DKP is earned by attending raids, tracking, and racing to engage a target. Both members and recruits alike may bid on any item they choose. In Core, your DKP is yours to spend!

Discord is our primary comms tool. It’s used for both voice chat and text communication, while we send mobile alerts through Discord and Twitter.

Our recruitment process is reasonably relaxed. It’s designed for you to get to know other players in the guild. We accept applications from all players that are at least level 55, and once you're max level and have been on at least 10 Core raids, it's time for members to vote. Competent and friendly players breeze by the application period. During this time, you're not alone! We enjoy helping recruits with epic fights and preparing our new friends to become raid ready.

To apply, contact any Core member. They can point you towards a recruiter. If you're unsure that Core is the right fit for you, ask to join us on one of our weekly raids! We’d love to have you along.

I'm really glad that I decided to join Core. I get to play with a tight group of skilled players who are professional and fun to be around. Only been guilded a short time and already got Strength of Element shoulders, 100hp upgrade over my old Sky shoulders! Also had a lot of fun killing Trakanon with 14 people and no deaths. Smoothest low # Trak kill I've seen on P99 yet.

I'm only a peon, but, we are not a "this timezone" or "that timezone" guild, to my mind. We're an adventuring guild. Adventure waits for no one!

My serious answer would be that we don't have as many Corepals as we'd like in any timezone yet. There are people on at all hours, but, it is still very early days for Core, so keep in mind we probably won't have 50 mans on regardless of your playtime. :o

Well, I'll have to confer with the EWG corporate head office, but as a licensed Elven Wine Guild distributor, I'd say this isn't outside the realm of possibilities. :o

Not too long ago I was looking for a new guild and Core sparked my interest for a few select reasons. I felt that Core's goals and mindset as a guild resonated with my own. The drive to do encounters despite having smaller numbers has made the game fun and exciting again.

When I applied to core I was level 55 and had some work ahead of me. I was pleasantly surprised with how open and friendly people were to not only point me in the right direction for what I needed to be raid ready but also the time they took aside to invest into me to help get me where I am today.

It has now been a little over a month and I have made full member, lots of new friends, killed many new foes and have many new stories to tell.

When people ask me what Core is like, the answer is easy. Core isn't just another raid guild. Core is home, at least for me.

I just wanted to say thank you for having such cool guild members!
I zoned into Nagafen's Lair just hoping someone might have a Fire Giant Toe for my mage's torch quest. No one had one, but Franswa the bard gave me a tell asking if he could assist by killing some for me. He called some guildy friends, they got my toe and even got me a 96% exp rez! Every experience I've had with <Core> members has been a positive one, and some of my closest and dearest friends are in the guild now. They've always given the impression of a relaxed and affable group of friends, from the Guild Leader to the Officers to the normal members.

They went above and beyond today though, when Ixiblat dropped VoG and a friend mentioned I could use it. The rest of the guild immediately passed in favor of giving it to me! I wasn't looking forward to farming up the cash to buy the spell, and now it's no longer a concern, because of <Core>

I've heard of their other acts of kindness before, like the time I was grouped with a <Core> member and received a rez from a cleric passing by, who refused a donation because <Core> members let him loot the Ragefire heart free-of-charge... but this is the first time I've experienced this level of generosity firsthand.

I came into Core like 10 days before the first raid suspension. That means I am four times longer suspended with Core than not suspended. Meanwhile my main account (which is basically my only account) is also suspended, cause I handled recruitments.

Still I don’t feel the officers should punish anybody. The first two extensions weren’t even caused by members, so who should we punish after all?

I found many old and new friends in <Core> and I stand with that guild, even with 94 days suspension. I think Franswa is completely right: I may be nearly permanently suspended since I joined Core, but at least I feel at home.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to Core for being very generous this morning overall.

My guild (BG) noticed that Zord RF was up and went to start clearing the fire giants down towards Naggy's lair. However, something which I didn't realize until now, was Core had a cleric parked down at the lair already. They could have easily leap-frogged us and went for the turn-in, but instead, had an officer send me a tell asking what our intentions were. My response was simple, to turn in the Pearl to spawn Ragefire!
Instead of giving me a hard time, Core chose to back down and actually help us clear the giants in order for us to perform the turn-in!

So this goes out to people who give these guys a bad rep, as this isn't the case, at least based off of my personal experience! /salute

What many dont realize is the majority of our guild really don't care about loot that much. I mean yeah we gear up alts and stuff and its fun to get somethint shiny once in a while but most of our members are former endgame raiders. We just enjoying playing with each other and love the thrill of mobilizing, competing with other guilds for a kill and just enjoying the game.

Meaning if something fun spawns and we can make a low # kill yeah we absolutely gonna go for it. But if another guild has a cleric who would really love to get their epic, naw we arnt gonna train and do shady shit to bum rush ragefire for a mq plat sale. Hell id bet if you just message us and say can you help me kill X epic mob if we arnt busy lot of us would be down just for the hell of helping someone ans having fun.

I've got an unguilded nobody of a ranger. On whim, I ooc'd for some help killing an epic mob and got a tell pretty quickly. Within minutes, a small army of Core materialized and spanked the mob soundly, no questions asked. These dudes were awesome and super friendly. They even volunteered to help me kill another mob for my 49 spell (which we did).

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude! Thanks so much, you guys! Totally unexpected and decent of you :)

Well Core is pretty rusty after lots of time off, but our first cycle attempting Veeshan's Peak we were able to secure all 6 Veeshan's Peak dragons with some help from friends over at Blood Guard. As well as thanks to the competition for making some of the dragons interesting.

2nd cycle Core teamed up with BG for VP. Another 6/6 dragons. Some notable mentions Larryjohnson scored our second Shissar Apothic staff, Backpain now rocking infamous SoW sword, Tortok snagged a sweet Primal Essence hammer and last but not least Drethik got that sexy 110mana cloak from PD.

Core had to shake off a little rust this last Earthquake, it's been a while, but we still managed to snag a few nice targets on our own with 20-25 people online.

Especially proud of 21 man Zlandicar

The last two cycles we had teamed up with BG for VP. But this repop we did VP alone and got Silverwing, Hoshkar, Phara Dar and Druushk.

Also managed to snag a few juicy smaller targets that aren't 'raid mobs' but sought after. Good things in the works.

I took my Cleric to Karnors Castle when he reached Lvl 50. I am almost 58 now and during all that XP grinding I have had the opportunity to work in pickup groups with several Core members. I have had nothing but good experiences with all of them. One of them was a monk whose name I don't recall and he told me I should look into Core as he saw both my 57 cleric and 60 druid were unguilded.

So based on my experience with several Core members and what I have read about the guild I think Core would be a great place for me. I think I would fit in well and be a very beneficial asset to other members. I mean who couldn't use another PotG druid and 96 rezzing cleric right?

Just one question. I see that Core raids Sky on Thursday morning according to wiki. Is that accurate and if so what time does AM sky raids begin?

Core does raid PoSky thursdays. Generally been giving notification and starting to do ports around 10:45am EST. Its a combination of having a large Euro population as well as there being set PoSky calendar what hasnt changed in years and other guilds unwilling to give up or transfer slots.

Otherwise we are generally open to new members who have desire and motivation to be part of a team and accomplish goals with us.

Almost. I was in a hands group in KC the other night and I got a tell from the guild leader on his toon Franswa. He asked me to friend him on discord and then he could get a recruiter to communicate me through discord. I did send the friend request through discord and left the discord page open but did not see any message from anyone.

So still kind of in limbo. But I play a lot on Friday, Saturday and Sundays and will keep discord open to see if I get any new messages. Hope to see you soon at a raid!

Very exciting repop for Core! We've been welcoming a lot of old friends to our new house in the last week, and we had a party after the patch.

We went to VP and killed some dragons. Actually, we killed all of the dragons, securing their treasure for ourselves!

Maybe more importantly, we made some inroads in TOV. For many of us, it's been a very long time since we've been in a 40 strong force. While I've certainly enjoyed killing non-FTE mobs with six people or less for most of 2018, I gotta say, it's very exciting to be back in TOV with Core! We were definitely shaking off the rust, starting out with a very confusing Aary attempt where we didn't LOS the AE, but we recovered well and killed 5-6 dragons in the end. (I didn't snap 'em all, sadly.)

Slept through most of the repop?! No Problem!!!

Finished out the raiding with guild mates to immediately go into epic adventure mode!

It started with a simple turn in by one individual. Which branched out into adventure for a whole guild.

It was very tempting to fall pray to the tales of items coming out of Chardok. Riches were there to be had. The spirit was strong with this one though.

2 - just under 16k hp but im sure a portion of that was him beaing healed by goblins around and lifetaps so prolly 12-14k hp

These guys are the best.

I had three fights I needed help with for my epic. I reached out to several guilds large, medium and small alike. For nearly two months I hit a wall; I could not gather any assistance. It was unbelievably frustrating.

Core was the one guild that answered that call. All three of the fights, in fact. They accepted nothing and handled it like professionals. I couldn't be more pleased and delighted with how helpful and selfless they were. Of note, Franswa was a particular treat, even reaching out to me asking how I was coming along. That's a true testament to leadership.

Now, it's time to level my character. I know which guild I'll be looking to join when I'm done.
