Yes, rares have ended it seems.

It was a really great idea to have random rare drops, and from reading the reports from last night I think the developers work was just admirable.

Just wished that the event would take place in a time frame which also takes in account the European players. The rare drops began at 2:40 am or so and ended very late in the night/early in the morning. It would be awesome if another rare drop event could be held which also gives us EU players a chance.

Anyhow; great work on the server. It's great to see it so alive.

It was a good concept, but it didn't work out well.. Grats to the 10 level 14's to get 100k items, and no one else got anything.

I heard one player under 10 got 3 items but that is unconfirmed. Also noticed alot of the players being announced server wide were under 10.

I remember some dude "angryaboutit" or some such thing got announced twice in a short couple minutes. I just assume he was really lucky or was alt of a super rich player paying for loot rights from some enterprising AEer

Devs arent here to make things convenient for EVERYONE. Were lucky they even did it at all. It was on a Friday night so even the Euros could have easily taken advantage of it.

Sounds like a person who couldn't get work off like everyone else. Luckily for me, i work weekdays from 6:30am to 3:30pm, so you're right, i didn't have responsibilities when Kunark was released at like 9pm.

At one point when I started counting it was 6 people in a row that were level 4 and under. While I agree that everyone should have an equal opportunity with the rare drops, it would have been better to have the drops be a little more evenly distributed among the levels. But I'm not complaining. It was nice of them to do it.

I never saw an announcement for a manastone dropping. Did anyone else see one?

I /who'd maybe 5-6 people who got items all level 1-3. I really don't care though, last night was a blast and the devs did a great job.

I think it has more to do with the fact that mass killing XP-giving creatures is easier at those lost levels. Just easier to bounce from mob to mob.

There was at least one before they reduced the drop rate.

I know two level 50+ people that got items, one a Staff of Forbidden Rites and one a Glimmer Ring. But for the most part the items went to lvl 5 and under people, saw a lvl 2 Troll Shaman and a lvl 4 Troll shaman both get Guises.

For the record :

I am not a newb, gaining access to fabulous prizes he doesn't deserve. I've played for ten years. I've had a very rough week and this was just what I needed.

I planned this days in advance. I had all my alts equipped with ringmail, bronze, and cheap weapons. Bound in Toxxulia to avoid most of the crowds. You could have too.

I didn't use thorns or have any high level help to mass slaughter. I just ran around with my ranger and had a little druid friend the same level.

On that same note, I noticed right away that if you did use thorns all of the lower end mobs would die instantly and their corpses would dissapear immediately. It's kind of ironic actually, that people who had access to high level druid friends got boned in this fashion.

I specifically killed kobolds for the drops. Two out of the four drops I received were kills by my level four druid friend. We're going to split the money and help out our friends.

Also, I'm going to be keeping the Mistwalker and using it. I'm a ranger. Cheers!
