The quest said to give the "product" to the NPC, as it said to all the other NPCs, but this "product" was a different product. But he didnt give it back because i effed up.

Am I reasonable to think to think that i can get this item back?

While I do not understand what you're talking about, in general if you turn in the wrong item you can petition in the petitions forum, wait (possibly several weeks), and the staff will restore your lost items.
