King Xorbb

Started a new adventure this week.. Wrapped up a few druid quests, and im starting to adventure to random zones to just explore, and look for random named monsters. Collecting random loot, and then gonna drop it off to new players!

That being said- My week started out in King Xorbb's hometown. Read the wiki on his confusing little spawn. But since this zone is so low level, i've been buffing my bear pet and letting him tear this place up. But not once over my many hours have i seen Xorbb spawn.. I just want a selfie with him is all!!

Anybody care to chime in on how much time they have spent here to get him to spawn? I feel like i've destroyed this zone about 50 times over now....

I have never seen him on p1999. He was a fairly common spawn on the live progression servers though.

I've seen him a few times. What I did was aggro every possible PH in the zone and kill it with Upheaval/Earthquake, then sat on one of his spawn points. :o

He spawns, but its one of those secret formula's like he has a small chance to spawn every 12 hours or some crap

I tried on live a few times to get him, I guess i will try here on 99 sometime when I have the time. Really want a Slime Crystal Staff from him.

11:37am, 11/14/18.... I have spent 1 or 2 hours a day since this post trying to spawn Xorbb.. Today at that time stamp, I successfully spawned him!! First time spawn, and he dropped the staff!! Can officially confirm- He spawns. Working on getting the 3 other staffs in case anybody is interested in completing the Blue-Two Handed Hammer Quest. Look no further than me!!!

Zodium, perfect chap i want to ask a question to- Do you know if i can complete this quest in Neriak with Wolf Form on? Or am i screwed as a non evil race in completing this quest?

Also- I am 100% sure i'll never find my way up to PoG due to my casualness.. But what does that slime staff have to do with that plane staff?!?! I want that, but didn't see it was a quest?

1- Bummer, i'm not halfling nor do i have puppet strings.. Guess ill have to find a homey to help with the turn in.... Or just sell the 4 staffs together.. Thanks Zodium

2- Is there any reason to waste my slime staff on that sap sheen staff if i already have the tunare root necklace?

No, it's terrible. (It's a proc.) Actually, you could probably just get an Enchanter buddy to charm the priestess for you. :o

I had no issues doing Blued Hammer on my Woodie druid and I think the quest npc might be indifferent to all.

BUT

This was many years ago and I have a DE guise so that might have factored in...I cannot remember.

That is the guy I was referring to and he has no factions but the priestess hates goodies as this is an 'evil' quest.

You should have no problems once you get into Neriak just use invisible to get to the NPC but once inside his shop I think you are good to go.

GL she is an uncommon spawn so just keep clearing Guard Captain room she spawns on right side.

Also important to note, when you turn in the staffs to her, you won't get the item back on your cursor. It actually spawns as a bag on the ground and she depops.

So don't freak out after you turn in and get nothing back but her poofing.

Crucial information. Would have definitely freaked. Never have i had to look on the ground for my quest item haha. Thank you Erati! And i need to finish exploring Najena anyways, so it'll be a fun adventure!

Also, it's not a PBAE, it's a 4-target AE.

That is a bummer it's not more than 4 targets.. Woulda been sweet to give this hammer to people i power level who are above level 30, and can't AE :)

Well it is unlimited Gatamn is actually completely wrong ( sorry buddy!:) ) . However due to P99 mechanics it is limited to 25, but its def more than 4... I used this to make it easier to PLvl melee because it procs at lvl 30 and they only need 1 proc basically to get 'damage' in on all the mobs rather than the old tab and wait til a swing lands.

Looooong time ago( like 2012 ) I was camping xorbb for his int ring. I just sat at one spot and I got him pretty quick. He dropped a staff and I was like, oh shit I'm getting that hammer. In conclusion I never finished the quest. The end.
