So - The Shaman epic requires "maxed faction"...

Curious to know how to determine whether one is "maxed" when ally. Being Ally doesnt mean that your "maxed".

Not true. As the very page you linked explains:

Ally 1051 to 2000

In other words, there is "Ally" (1051-2000) and there is "Max Ally" (2000). The only way to know you're at the latter is:

when you're maxed it'll say your faction with them can't get any better after any faction adjustment message.

I should add that just because the wiki says "needs max ally" it does not necessarily mean you in fact need max ally. Most likely it just means whoever wrote that was at max ally, and had heard of people failing with lower faction, so they guessed that max ally was required.

But if you look (I think it was in the Priest forum) I'm pretty sure there was a thread where someone claimed that they did one of the "max ally" steps of the epic without max ally faction. So if you want to risk all of your epic progress for the good of the wiki, try doing "max ally required" turn-ins without max ally faction, and then edit the wiki afterwards based on whether or not it worked. :)

You do not need max ally faction for shaman epic, that's fake news. As long as it says ally you are fine.
