Probably not the first person to print EQ stuff but here's a little troll I made as a test. Might make more in the future!
Download STL (https://www.dropbox.com/s/ne7aaestlc7fdo4/Troll_forPrint.stl?dl=0) if you want one too.

Shit is tight! Big props. Would be awesome to print the skins with armor and weapons and stuff.
Also, work in that troll butt scratch capture.

That's really cool, but just make sure you have plenty of ventilation: most home 3d printers spew out unhealthy chemicals.

Well I printed this one at home. You can take the file I provided to a 3D printing company though. I threw it on my shapeways to see if I could print it with the textures but no dice. (might be able to fix this later though)
The cost is based on what material you choose and how large you set the size. Looks like a 3inc tall in their cheapest material in plan white would run $26. Which is kind of pricy for what you're getting I guess unless you really want one.

Could actually make an EQ version of a lawn gnome.

One of many reasons the original models were better.

I can actually smell the polygons from here!
I've wanted for some time to sculpt and paint models of some of my eq characters. If I can work out how to export a 3d model freeze framed in one of the cooler animations and some weapons, that would be epic!
My tabletop Mordheim warband needs a new halfling cook(!).

I would buy one of my characters made and painted by a pro, probably my rogue.

Anyone have the chequip.s3d file laying around? I was going to see if I can extract the models again outta that. I got some animation data before so I might be able to get butt scratches.
Awesome! Such a cool print, thanks for sharing.

Do want to see more! Great stuff! May be interested in paying for (as long as not breaking any rules I am currently unaware of) a copy of one of my characters.

I've been thinking about this, would it be possible to turn the skins into a bump map, apply it to the models to add a little surface texture and 3d print that? The additional surface detail would make painting much easier; more paint by numbers than actual art.
