View Full Version : Octopath: A Legacy of Business Ethics and Character

Sadly, this druid named Octopath has attained a certain amount of fame for a very unfortunate event and a post on the forum.
But let me tell you, if he should be famous for anything it is how he does business and his integrity and character.
I have now dealt with him a handful of times. After seeing how great he is at what he does i have learned now to go to him first for my EC tunnel needs.
Last night was no different. I sent him a message explaining i was looking for an Exquisite Velium Spear. I had a few items i needed to sell first to afford one but i was hoping he could keep an eye out for me in his time in the tunnel.
Within the hour he has purchased the Spear for me, yet i could NOT leave a Seb CE group obviously, especially so close to level 58. So, what does he do? He agrees to trade me the spear directly for the items i was planning on selling plus a bit of plat. And THEN he offers to run the Spear out to me in Seb so i do not have to cease leveling. He is quick to inform me he has not been to Seb since live, and thus almost dies on his way and has to find an escort. Finally he arrives at seb and trades me, (i did not have all the extra plat i owed him, but he told me not to worry about it til the next day) and refuses to leave until he sees me equip my new offhand.
All of this took him probably about 2 hours, just for a single customer he hardly knows.
This may not seem like a big deal to some, but it has encouraged me deeply enough to spend this time making a post about him. I have never dealt with an EC tunnel quester with this amount of concern for his customers.
Bro if you read this, i know losing 76k sucks man, especially since you have only been working in the Tunnel to fund your own Character to play. But do NOT leave. This server needs more people like you. I hope knowing that you are positively effecting people here encourages you in your quest to make your Shadowknight and stick around a bit longer.
TL;DR - Buy from Octopath, good dude there.

Never met the man, but if somebody takes the time out of their day to make a post thanking him. Then i have to assume he's a good dude. Cheers to Octopath! I see you.

Holy shit, I was actually there for the end of this! He wasn't sure how to get to the Seb entrance, and was understandably worried about finding it without ITU. I found him at the wall nearby, gave him ITU and escorted him :D
Can confirm, if nothing else, that Octopath definitely was delivering a weapon to someone at Seb, and also that he was very nice.
I didn't know he was noteworthy for a post on the forum, now I need to do a search :p
EDIT: I searched, I expected some big drama or something. He's the guy that lost a lot of money by accidentally handing it to a guard.

I see what you did there.
And no problem Octopath, i couldn't help but make a post. You really went out of your way for me and it was surprising and refreshing. Glad to share the story with the server!
Octopath told me he thinks I should make more youtube videos and my style is good. Nobody ever told me that before except him :D

I beat this game like 12 times on pvp with less than 5kpp of gears. Most of it dropped or hand crafted.
You are seriously playing the game wrong if you require end game pixels to enjoy playing.

This post is not about endgame pixels. It is about a guy who goes way out of his way to help strangers out thereby making the community a better place.

As someone who has been farming guardian robe for a few weeks, and wishes to be the king of fashion bard, I have mixed and confused feelings.

I like octopath, even their name sounds cool. They seem like a cool dude.
I just can't imagine myself being more immersed with an oracle vs advisor robes.
If I was a GM. I would reimburse.
