Hey guys,

Been a while since I consulted the great oracles of ForumQuest about Rabkan (quit playing for a bit), but I wanted to see what more seasoned warriors think I should upgrade next...

Right now Rabkan at level 58 has the following gear

Ear: Cougar Claw Earring / Orc Fang Earring
Face: Peerless Dragonskin Mask
Neck: Glimmering Mithril Torque
Head: Custom Crown of the Myrmidon
Shoulders: Crested Spaulders
Chest: Breastplate of the Myrmidon
Arms: Vambraces of the Myrmidon
Hands: Gauntlets of the Mydrmidon
Ring: Velium Fire Wedding Ring x2
Waist: Skinner's Belt
Back: Cloak of Crystalline Waters
Legs: Greaves of the Myrmidon
Feet: Boots of the Myrmidon
Range: Totem of Warrior Spirit
Mainhand: Infestation
Offhand: Frostbringer

There a couple of obvious things that come to mind (Dragon Tooth Choker, Earring of Essence, Idol of Thorned, Barbed Dragonscale Pauldrons / Heavy Dragonwing Mantle) all of which hover in the 2-4k range.

I'm curious if I should be simply saving for these midrange upgrades, or is there an item that's a bigger ticket that would make a more noticeable change in what my toon can do. I've thought about a Blood Runed Girdle, which seems good but again, not THE game changer - keep in mind I spent a few months saving up for a Cloak of Crystalline Waters and it's obviously been a noticeable upgrade from Crystal Chitin Hand Wraps

Keep in mind I'm in a midrange casual raiding guild - unfortunately can't do Sky easily due to work schedule.

Thoughts??????

Fair point - missed my dragon killing session with my guild. Good call.

Anything else?

Bio orb if you want big ticket. Otherwise, shoulders.

Depending on what you would raid (even casual encounters sometimes go for dragons), a resist set.

Bio orb - just looked that up, interesting!

So it's a clickable blind spell huh?

Can it be cast midfight without interruption or is basically a tool to start a fight with aggro? Seems good either way

Mostly to start with high aggro. But one click and you dont really need to worry about aggro ever again.

(just make sure youre in melee when you cast it or it fears em).

5 second cast time. You won’t be able to land this mid-combat if you’re being hit. Bio orb is a powerful tool situationally but is impractical for routine every day use. Using on incoming you have time time it perfectly or the mob either runs off or the mob is wailing on another party member for 3-4 seconds.

For it’s steep price you could afford 1200-1500 instant mallet click charges.

Neck: +6 dragon neck, don't bother with dragon tooth choker

Waist: Spider Fur belt is an upgrade that is cheap. Blood Runed Girdle you pay a real premium for, which I don't think is worth it for you at this point.

Feet: if your guild kills vindi, boots of the vindicator

Face: Eyepatch of Plunder

Wrist: you didn't list your wrist items but you should have silver chitin wristband or be showing up at scout rolls for bracer of benevolence at this point. If you want to switch to giant faction now that you have most of your skyshrine loot. Warlord's bracer is a good warrior wrist if you can find a pickup WToV raid.

Ring: I don't know what your stamina is like, if it is close to 205 unbuffed yet or not but working towards your 9th ring would be good.

Ear: Earring of Essence + Black Sapphire Electrum Earring . The black sapphire electrum earrings gives 2ac 35hp for only 550pp each.

Shoulder: if you are going to spend money for a big ticket item. Matchless Dragonwing Mantle is the best droppable shoulder item for a warrior. they are like 40k though. 65hp

Back: once again....another big ticket item, upgrading from cloak of the crystalline waters to cloak of flames for the 50hp.

I'd say get the +6 dragon neck and the earrings for now until you get to 60 and then work on the rest of the list.

Ear: Earring_of_Essence (https://wiki.project1999.com/Earring_of_Essence) + Black_Sapphire_Electrum_Earring (https://wiki.project1999.com/Black_Sapphire_Electrum_Earring)

or fingerbone hoop

Face: Grotesque_Alloy_Mask (https://wiki.project1999.com/Grotesque_Alloy_Mask) or the plane of hate mask

Neck: +6 neck

Shoulders: Barbed_Dragonscale_Pauldrons (https://wiki.project1999.com/Barbed_Dragonscale_Pauldrons) or Peerless_Dragonwing_Mantle (https://wiki.project1999.com/Peerless_Dragonwing_Mantle)

Ring: Velium Fire Wedding Ring + Djarns_Amethyst_Ring (https://wiki.project1999.com/Djarns_Amethyst_Ring)

Waist: Skinner's Belt (this means you are a TROLL) so STR and STA are not very big targets for you.

Back: Cloak of Crystalline Waters

Range: Runed_Bone_Fork (https://wiki.project1999.com/Runed_Bone_Fork) or if you are not STA maxed Idol_of_the_Thorned (https://wiki.project1999.com/Idol_of_the_Thorned)

all of these would mean like 200 hp's

all this stuff is in the EC and easy to get. but the 6 neck take 10K and go stand at ayllish and the shm monk that duo her every 8 hours should let you buy the LRs

bio orb is over priced and mostly for monks. MY Warrior has epic and TOV/VP wepons for holding agro but for insta aggro Strings, mallet, root nets, golem metal wands coldain beard the puller and singing kumbaya.

I personally just hate dealing with consumables.

(Also, self invis items like the chardok BP (can't remember name right now) or cobalt legs)

Every 50+ warrior with few exceptions should have 2x bloodpoint and a truncheon of doom

My personal opinion is that they can be useful toys but are far from essential.

None of this is relevant, OP already stated they are in a mid range casual guild which won't have access to any of this stuff.

All of this and I would add for the Face slot you would be majorly upgrading without the quest time needed for the Eyepatch by just buying Crystal Spider Eyes or an Enshrouded Veil.

I would sell the Cloak of Crystalline Waters and Skinner's belt to get a Spiked Seahorse Hide Belt and Maelstrom Cloak (or Hierophant's Cloak if you have the plat). Next, I'd upgrade the neck piece to get a +6 neck. Then I'd dump the Warrior Totem for an Idol of the Thorned. Crested Spaulders do need an upgrade as well, so I'd look into the Spirit Wracked Cord or Strength of the Elements Quest. I wouldn't worry so much about your resist stats until you hit 60, so the Orc Fang Earring and Cougar Claw Earring are fine for the time being. When you hit 60, dump the two earrings for an Earring of Essence and Black Sapphire Electrum Earring.

Do you solo? If that's even possible at 58

Good call on the Strength of Elements and Spirit Wracked Cord - both of those look awesome.

Figured I'd update and respond to everyone as I made a few purchases based on suggestions and (somewhat) have a plan going forward. More input is always welcome though!

Ended up buying Idol of Thorned and Earring of Essence because they're cheap and they seem like upgrades that will last for a while.

It seems like my next best bet is to save as much plat as possible and gun for 60 with the idea of purchasing a Fungi and Cloak of Flames (and selling my CoCW) when I'm close The exceptions to this would be JBoots and a Truncheon of Doom as it seems that would help me exp solo / duo in the times when I can't find a group. The JBoots will be for keeping me safe and for the questing I'm realizing I'm going to need to do at 60.

I mention questing because from the responses, it seems like most of my cost effective major available upgrades are going to come from quests, so I may as well get to 60 and then start focusing on that. Major quest items I will focus on...

Eyepatch of the Plunder
Strength of the Elements
Spirit Wracked Cord / Sarnak Ring Quest
Coldain Ring Quest
Belt of the Four Winds (going to need to figure out how I can get to Sky regularly to do this as its the main 41% haste I'm likely to see in my current guild)

In answer to the above poster - yes I CAN solo using DPS weapons and my clickie BP from HoT when all camps are full in KC - just have to be careful as x2 drolvargs simultaneously are a problem.

Any other input or suggestions to that list? Seems like "save your plat and get 60" with the exception of the JBoots and Truncheon is the best plan

Lastly adding in a +6 Neck to that list of "Quest" items have a feeling I will just pay for Loot Rights but we'll see how we go

Also Legday - good call probably will drop 1k / camp for Crystal Spider Eyes. Had my eyes on those for a while :)

Spirit Wracked Cord is a pipedream. The amount of time it'll take to get it is absolutely insane.

Unless your neckbeard is unwashed and sprinkled with dorito dust and mountain dew, I'd plan on having a different item for that slot.

That's fair - I've seen Undead Dragon Sinew for sale.

In looking at these quests, I've started to realize that with all of them, it really seems to make the most sense to just get to 60 first and start to worry about them then.

In the case of the Sarnak stuff, even without the UDS and Urn, you still need to murder a lot of goblins in Droga. Similarly, will take me some tradeskilling to get my coldain ring rocking.

Comparably, the Strength of the Elements + Eyepatch of Plunder combine rare spawn camps + targets of opportunity my guildies would help me kill I think.

I sold my last set and no one else seems to ever kill Deathfang, but Chokidai Hide Pauldrons are a pretty huge shoulder upgrade to anyone who isn't stamina capped (or able to swap stamina for stats elsewhere). My impression is that Yael and Kozz for Strength of the Elements are extremely contested. Pretty decent alternative if ya bring a group to Kennel.
