Looking for someone willing to work out a rent-to-buy arrangement on a JJB on the PVE server for my Shaman. I can make a decent down payment and I’m willing to swap contact info.
Thanks!

I believe you mean JBB (Jaundiced Bone Bracer).

Yeah I think I could make 1k pp a hour with that item and make great exp vs the 400 pp I can manage now with no exp.

Don't believe everything you read in the forums. With Torpor at level 60 I can rarely make 1k pp/hour, even when I have NG to myself.
JBB is definitely a good item that will help you level faster, but it will not get you 1k pp/hour.

Sounds like someone needs to open a bank to loan out plat. Could make a killing on interest

I can already see what's next. People are going to be mortgaging JBBs and fungis from fatcats now. When the buyers default and refuse to return them, staff will be petitioned to repossess them.

I think it’s a good idea. Renters get partial payment upfront and makes interest the user gets benefits sooner. This is done all the time in the real world but when it comes down to 20 year old pixels, it’s a stupid idea?
Madness.

I mean, as the person "paying" to lease the item, this is a steal. They don't have to pay or return it after the initial down payment. A neighbor was just evicted for the same scam. It takes time, and authority to evict. Staff will likely just laugh at the petition demanding it be returned to you.
Seems to me like a sure way to lose your items!
