263, unless you can find any information to the contrary.

I believe it tops out at 263. It costs 150 mana to cast the spell regularly.

Thanks for the reply guys. That thing is OP as shit! In theory all a shaman would have to do is root.

Ok, well the Lucy link and also the ZAM page both state the nuke tops out at 263 damage at L40. Considering the JBB isn't clickable until 45, the base damage for the JBB should ALWAYS be 263, modified by resists (downward only?).

There's a reason this thing goes for a stupid high amount of PP.

I wasn't trying to correct you - you posted while I was writing my post :)

I haven't had a chance to play with this yet, but from what I hear the high cast time is what brings it from 'OP as hell' down to 'Useful toy.' The 8 seconds you're using to nuke for 263 (barring resists) is at least 1 server tick of medding and 2 chances to canni that you are losing out on, so it does cost mana in a way.

Anyway sorry to scum up this thread but with all the JBB sales recently it was bound to happen sometime ;-) Best of luck with your sale.

I will kindly disagree with this statement. With all due respect of course.

If you're killing mobs with 3k+ hp, it's going to take at least 14 casts (factor in some regen) to kill.
On blues and higher it will break root around 50% of the time.
On blues and higher you're going to get resists.

This is the slowest way to kill blues that I can imagine.

One of the main reasons it was priced so high on live was because you needed it to solo Dragons in the western wastes. You had to kite the dragons for so long and rely on this and torpor to succeed. I think the price went up because of that.

You didn't kite them, you just tanked them with Slow + torpor. You also definitely didn't need a JBB to win, though it helped.

This. Generally a soloing shaman thats taking on high risk mobs are slow+torpor tanking and dont cani AS MUCH as normal so this is what makes the JBB such a valued item. Its by no means a "must have to kill high risk" but it certainly makes things a lot easier.
