RoZ will reset and start over in classic again at some point but they are trying to get through PoP. Who knows if the server will last long enough for this to all happen. There is still a lot more PvP on RoZ but the population is really bad at this point. It has a lot less players than red even. The server ranges between 10-40 real people playing 3 chars per person. At prime time it is around 30.

I wish the PvP community overall was a bit larger, but what can you do? There was probably around 1000 people in the world interested in Project 1999 Red when it launched and it has dwindled to about 100 people that still stay somewhat interested in what is going on with EQ PvP. As you mentioned a lot of the players on Red99 don't want anything to do with the PvP aspect of the game.

Apex doing pretty well considering their force is 60% boxed chars, with several players boxing 3+

Maybe staff can tune raidmobs down some so they can kill Vyemm and AoW, some of these players are putting in 300-400% effort, give them a break.

That is kind of what the RoZ server was. It had a good size population for a while. It lasted longer than I thought it would.

It has 1 item loot but worn items were safe. Bags didn't keep items safe. It has been a good compromise.

There will never be a "classic" emulator server of any game to your standards old man. It just doesn't make sense to force every single detail into a server 20 years later when the circumstances are so much different. I can't think of any changes to the PvP rules on RoZ that I would want changed.

FYI when I say no rule changes I don't mean things like spell resists, melee damage, pathing issues and whatever other problems they have. The server definitely needs cleaning up code wise.

I wouldn't say increasing, forums were much better a couple years ago. Most of the people waiting around for something to change with the server while trolling the forums have moved on. Now there are a couple unbiased EQ PvP fans checking in and poking fun while a couple current players get defensive and take it serious.
