From what I've seen in other threads... over a month, maybe "months".

Classic Live never reimbursed for screw ups when quests were working as intended. Chalk it up to a learning experience and move on so you don't over burden staff. Then we may get GM events.

Well that's a head scratcher, was one something minor and the other something they don't reimburse?

Wouldn't they resolve/close the petition with an appropriate comment, if it is something they don't reimburse?

Took them about 3 to 4 months when I had an issue a while back. May depend on the difficulty of the request.

Here you can see the loss date and the date of reimbursement. Make sure you take a look at the guidelines for posting a petition properly.

I never received a reply to my Petition. However i made the petition ingame first and Menden replied within minutes and told me, that reimbursment is possible but to use the Forumpetition.
I did that immediately, but never got a GM response in there.

We didn't have a GM for quite some time, we still don't.
Llandris was granted GM powers recently so I've been verifying a page or two every week or so. If you requested a reimbursement it should get done in the near future, things are starting to pick up.
We've also been super short staffed and burnout was real. It'll get better.

I should add also, unless your post gets moved to "Resolved", it's still in our queue. If it auto closes itself, don't worry too much.. we're just slow.

Ok thanks Menden! Now I forgot to put my account name in petition, but I put my character name. Is that ok or should add that info in a reply?

Having the date of the issue, account name, character name and server (red or blue) always helps. One less thing to verify.
It's also super helpful if folks do a followup post if their reimbursement isn't required anymore.

If we already made an in game petition, should we assume it's still in the queue, or make a forum petition?

Reimbursement usually has to be in forum petition style. In game petitions are basically just camp disputes and corpse recovery.

Ok thanks, should I just leave my petition as is though? Or should I add that information in a reply? As of now I have character name, the npc’s involved and items involved, quest name. And that is all.

Replying / bumping your own petition pushes you down the list which makes it take even longer.

While I'm not a staff member, one would hope the staff has the capability to lookup your account by character name. I wouldn't bump (ie. reset the timer) on your petition if I were you.

Yeah that's odd, the comment from that GM says it was restored. I'll flag your most recent one for Llandris, he can see logs I can't and figure out what's going on.

Yeah, we can. But players often misspell their own names. That's why we always ask for both, character name and account name.

Just to throw my experience into the field here:
I had a reimbursement petition that got verified by Sirken within a month, but reimbursement didn't happen for another five months. However, this was immediately around the time of the Sirken debacle and I was also guilty of bumping my thread in Petition with MS Paint pictures to humor staff. Spoiler alert: They were not humored.

First and foremost, I am not complaining whatsoever, just informing.
I have been waiting since October for a GM to look into mine. I am not sure if this is typical or if easier reimbursements are handled more quickly, but this has been my experience. I know these guys are busy and volunteers, so I am just thankful that there is staff here at all to handle these kinds of things.
Good luck with your reimbursement fellow adventurer, and thank you GMs for all you do!

Seems to be hit or miss, some people have a turn around of about a week, others months, some years?

Should I reply on the original petition so Menden sees it there or does the Senior GM's see these posts and i should just wait for them to respond here? Don't want to bother anyone but just making sure the petition is not AWOL and lost forever.

I recently posted a reimbursement request for a bag I tried to drop transfer and the bags were gone after I was able to logon with the other character (two crashes into two synchronization wait times) actually got a response in about a day or two that the server team reviewed my request and no one had done anything.
So, either I was falling asleep and didn't realize I never dropped them OR someone from the server team added them back to my character and it wasn't documented.
Either way, in answer to your question Chapelle, it was very quick.

I re-opened your thread. Not sure why it got locked.
Threads autolock after so much time, if this happens to you it doesn't mean you are out of our queue, when a post gets "moved to resolved" it's out of our queue.
Guides try to grab forum petitions as they come in, they are pretty caught up on their end.
I verify all drop logs and I'm a few months behind due to RL stuff, drop logs are extremely time consuming... It's better to ask someone to transfer for you, this is what I do on my play characters.
Llandris handles the actual summoning/transferring of items. He's more caught up then I am.
All players should keep in mind I sort by LAST REPLY date, so if you try to bump your post it puts you much deeper in the queue.

Some cases are quicker then others.
Someone that destroyed an item by mistake, pretty quick to verify and easy to reimburse. On the other end of the spectrum is scamming or stripped accounts. In these case it could take us hours of our own free time to restore the characters and hunt down every item because the player shared their credentials with a "friend".

Thanks for weighing in Menden. You guys were super quick to create actions (not fulfilled yet) to identify and restore items to my account all within a day or two of the original petition (awesome!!)
I guess it's just waiting for Llandris' queue to shrink. I've even gotten several pieces back by either looting them off dropped mobs or buying even if they're lore... so hopefully they will just go to another toon on my account? I don't want to slow the process, but I also want to keep playing the game.
