Has anyone been able to get an IP Exemption? I've put in 2 with no response... just trying to have a good old fashioned LAN party like back in the day!

Make sure you followed all instructions to the letter - if you do junk wrong, they might not tell you.

Long story short, IP Exemptions really aren't good for LAN parties unless your only having 2 people over. Once you add a third it locks back out again. I had this problem when I invited 2 friends over to game with me one weekend when my GF left.

So after looking at this thread, I decided.. hm, wonder if all these people are telling the truth.

Has anyone been able to get an IP Exemption? I've put in 2 with no response... just trying to have a good old fashioned LAN party like back in the day!

You should read the reply to your petition :P Which was answered.. the day after it was posted.

took me 5 weeks but they do em.

Yours was responded to 7 days after posting, but lacked the information needed. Then you had to wait some more. Sorry for this wait.

about 5 weeks for me too.

Yours took 10 days.

It took 4 weeks for me. Be patient.

Yours was 19 days. Sorry for the wait.

This is not true. Just like the IP exemption instructions say.. list the names of ALL the accounts that are going to be played. You only listed.. two. For any additional people, the same information is needed.

So... yeah I thought I'd take like 5 minutes, look into this, and maybe help people in the future with the facts.

I wasn't dogging on you brah, =D I appreciate my exemption.

Just saying if he is having a true LAN, 6+ people, he would have to proactively get all their account names? I guess I just don't trust people, no one gets my account name other than the GM staff.

IP exemptions are flags placed on the account, exempting it from the 1 connection per IP limit. It's not the actual IP address that gets exempted. If that were the case, you'd have to get re-issued a new exemption every time your ISP changed your IP, which you have no control over and they could do hourly if they wanted (nobody actually does that, but they could).
