Still new players joining Project 1999?

Hey guys, I just found out about the Project 1999 server and I am actually downloading Titanium EQ right now!

I can't wait to start, but I just wanted to know; Is there still number of new players joining? I don't want to get stuck soloing as a class that can't solo ;)

Also, I read the front page that the guise of the deceiver will be removed soon!! This is the main reason I'm joining Project 1999! I never got the original guise, and I always wanted one!!

How is leveling compared to day 1 in 1999? I must get to LGuk before the nerf!

New people joining everyday. Leveling here is the same as in 99 except more people know the good spots to go.

If I remember correctly, High Keep was a good place. Argh, 10 years is a long time!

A couple of friends and I started last week. Haven't had any trouble finding groups. As for leveling... you're gonna have to play 24/7 AND get lucky to have any chance at a guise if you haven't started yet.

as far as lvling goes, id try to follow the path of something like this...

CB / Oasis / Uguk / Unrest / Mistmoore

all depends on the class you play. Personally if your hell bent on lvls id go Mage, Necro, or Druid...

Stay out of oasis.

1.0 ZEM and it's absolutely terrible to level in unless you're a soloer trying to kite.

Learn to level in good dungeons. Outdoor zones make terrible players.

I remember leveling in CB in the old days, then went to Unrest, and from there its a blur until 35 when I went and did Bats in Lower Guk.

I'm probably going to either do a Paladin or Shaman, I'm pretty sure I can solo well with a Shaman.

Don't forget to read the FAQ on the forums. It tells about ZEMs and Race / Class penalty / bonuses.

Shamans are a tough class to get started with at least. But Paladins have a 40% exp penalty. So who knows.

so I finished downloading Titanium, and I got it through a torrent.

Anyone savvy with mounting CD images and all that jazz? I haven't mounted CD images in a long time, google'ing how to do it now. If anyone could be any help, I would appreciate it! I am itching to get on Project 1999!!

If you got the torrent off of ISO hunt it should have come with an install for Daemon tools.

Thanks! I did Daemon Tools, then it all came back to me! Mounted and installed, did all the alterations to make it "original" loading now! See you guys in game!

As soon as I found out this existed I began the download. I will be telling everybody I know that ever played that its available... amfg i missed everquest and I can't wait to start the evercrack up - Im making a warrior and shaman - lmk if you need me for grouping!
