View Full Version : Good Solo Semi AFK Camps (not pet killing)
I think everyone knows the Ancient Crocs, on a nice, 16 min timer where you can be logged in at work (ahem) home, and just pop back in, check for tells, kill some mobs, and then go save the homeless children for 15 minutes (and back again).
I've outgrown those, any other camps like that that don't require constant vigilance, but safe to go AFK around now and again? Doesn't even have to have a named there, I just want that sweet, delicious XP. I'm level 38 now. Want a spot I can pull and kill stuff and then be safe until I can pull and kill stuff again.
Thanks!

I like OT ramp. You can camp on the top of the hill on the south side and be fine.
You can get some good buffs too to make your life easier.

Drolvargs in FV would be good for that lvl range and play style.
Park yourself on the wall by the temple or forest giants. Can pull growlers and snarlers to the wall, kill and afk/med. growlers are easier spawn. Then once you’ve out leveled those you can just do the forest giants. Not all spots on the wall are safe, but most are so just observe for a bit before you afk.

Enchanter, sorry, thats really important to share!
Anywhere in highkeep is good for this.

If you aren't concerned about faction. The halfling guards on the misty thicket wall are great exp, and 10pp spears off each one

Does it only hurt Rivervale faction? I mean, I haven't ever been there anyway :P

Imagine playing at work
Only recently started an enchanter, and they're only level 17 so I can't speak from experience, but Froon and Choon in WK are a dual spawn on a 12 min timer on a hill that nothing (I believe) paths near. They're level 30 so not sure how long they'd be blue to you. Chief Goonda also spawns at the Ogre ring just north of them if you kill the shaman placeholders.
Do you have a FB earring or other enduring breath item? The deepwater goblins in Lake Rathe are mid 30's and nothing paths around down there.
Frontier Mountains giant fort has several safe spots to sit where nothing will path near you (up on the back wall near the underground entrance).
Gornit is a 6 minute spawn in OOT but is somewhat more commonly camped nowadays. Sitting right by his spawn or elsewhere along the water is safe from the pathers on seafury island. Someone may take the camp if you're AFK too long though.
The splitpaw gnolls are decent - not the ones by paw - the 2 spawns near the hermit. There's a cyclops that paths near there now and then but it's easy to sit far enough away so as to not worry about it or any other mobs agroing you. Bonus xp from turning in their 4 lore scrolls in Qeynos.

You can do Oggok guards at that level. Camped a decent amount but they don’t always get all the way in. You never go KoS with illusion and faction buff if memory serves me correct. Just don’t forget to re illusion before you go afk if you think it will be an extended afk.
Once you outgrow those you can head to Grobb. Same deal there but the plat per kill is a lot better.

Kunark is great for outdoor zones with easy single pulls where you can afk between kills easily.
Lake of Ill Omen > Frontier Mountains > Overthere > Dreadlands can take you from 20 to 50.

Go to Oggok. It's a beaufitul ogre-filled gift of abundant exp and pp to Enchanters.
Don't want to go there yet? Hang out on the beaches of FV, recruit cartographers as pets, and fear stuff so your pet can backstab contentedly.
Take FV to the next level with a snaring duo partner, or another Enchanter.
I once partnered with 3 other Enchanters and a Druid.
4 hasted rogue pets? We were just deleting stuff. Couldn't pull fast enough.

Do you fight IN Oggok? or outside? Have never killed a guard in my life! Charm killing, the old fashioned way?

Inside, charming. Sometimes the guards are pretty evenly matched, sometimes you may need to change things up when one is way stronger than the other. I prefer to charm the weaker one and do stuff (like slow or nuke) to make up the difference. If I charm the stronger one I simply drop charm and exchange.
At first it may be confusing but the way the guards are distributed it's perfect for charming. A pair of roamers, two pairs in the tower, the guard in the shaman area with one of the back cave roamers, the pair at the cave entrance, then the bank guard and other back cave roamer. You probably won't be doing them all until a higher level.
After a while you know all the spawns and how to pair the guards up. Later on in your early to mid 40s you can easily keep all the guards down with very little wasted time medding before the next pair.

I think Feerott spectres are perfect. there are several hallways completely safe to go afk in forever. only 1 spec wanders, and his route is predictable
