I have been traveling the lands of ANTONICA and KUNARK since the new lands have been discovered. During my travels I have had many ask for my assistance in being brought back from the netherworld's. A curious phenomenon has been happening that I wished to ask of of my fellow travel companions here as we sit at the end of the day drinking ale by the Hearth.
I have, whenever able, obliged these requests and have yet to ask for any compensation. Most of these have been considerate of a traveling devotee of divine influence to make a sacrifice of there purse without being asked. I am grateful and honored by your offering. I have found that the norms of yesteryear seam to have changed.
So I put it to you my good companions - What do you consider to be a worthy offering for your life or two as it appears to be happening more frequently, or an entire party of wayward companions?
May preparation keep your blade sharp and luck to drive it home true.

I tip 75 plat per corpse if the cleric is very close by. Sometimes I tip more depending on how desperate I am or how far the cleric has to walk.

I usually tip 3-4 dollars
I don't want any 'extra ingredients' the next time I order food

Call me an ass if you will, but if I manage to get my corpse to a cleric willing to rezz me, I don't tip.
I say something in the lines of : "thank you very much"
Also, I rarely have any cash on me

I won't call you an ass, but I will call you a cheap rogue =P. At least have a better excuse for not paying... like being a monk and never being able to carry cash cause of the weight limit =D.

Most people I rez, including those 50+, tip around 15 or 20p. I don't rez anymore.

Oh, not having cash on me was not meant to be an excuse, was just mentionning. I don't tip because I just feel this game is about helping each other and I would not expect a tip if I was a cleric, or a druid giving sow, or a rogue dragging a corpse (not that this happens very often lol)

Klyre looks thoughtful, raises her mug to her mouth and sips. She licks her lips, sets down the mug and contemplates the fire for a moment. She turns to her companions, raises an eyebrow. "Senna?" pauses a moment in confusion. "what are these Dollars you speak of? I, in all of my travels have not heard of the like, are they some gem in the new lands to the south?"
Klyre raises a finger to her lips and lets it pause there. "Quite possibly I have spent too much time at this Inn"
Klyre glances at Hateshadow and considers this vagabond. She nods. A stray thought running through her head. (Ahh a Rogue if ever I saw one, sensible if a bit rash) "Tell me good Hateshadow, how far is your willingness to help others...How far would you walk....what dangers would you face?"
Klyre picks up her mug once more and considers her companions......

I pay about 100 if you're in same zone. 200 if I have to port you somewhere to rez me. More if the situation is dire/I really don't want to run back.

9 times out of 10 I don't take anything for rezzing. But I did just take 500pp for running to KC from FV for a port to EJ to do a rez in FoB ... so yeah.
I never considered rezzing to be something to profit from. =) If I can, I will. If I can't, being a bitch about it won't change my mind.
Sounds like you should set your expectations out on the line from the get-go though; you can simply say "Yes, for xx amount of pp, I will rez you". That way they can say no or negotiate with you from there.

Klyre raises from her chair by the hearth as she notices the Lady Zerah enter the room. "My Lady I am honored by your presence."
Klyre radiates respect for a member of the White robes. "Forgive me my Lady, I did not intend to create the impression that i was interested in hoarding wealth or to take advantage of those clearly in need"
Klyre looks to to the floor with her eyes asking forgiveness. "My intent was to converse with fellow travelers to know the mood of the people". Klyre looks up again and scans those assembled about her. "I do grow so lonely traveling about the country side, I am thankful for your company."
Klyre sits once again, looking over at her mug of Ale and considers once more. Without looking up Klyre once again speaks....."Tell me Lady Zerah, do you really think so little of me?" clear hope, and yet fear in her tone. "Shall I forgo my robes and go naked into the wilderness if such is my shame?"

I played a cleric for 4 years on live and never took payment for rezzes, if you want plat for clicking a spell gem you should make a druid ;)

I will usually pay depending on how much trouble it is for them to res me, usually 40 to 100pp. Often I use payment as a means of making it worth the clerics time since they were likely on their way to do something else. I will usually ask by offering a payment.
Of course I do not pay clerics who are in my group or on my raid since that is just part of what they add to the group in the same way I wouldn't want to be paid for using backstab or dragging a puller's corpse.

I tip 100pp every time I get a rez, and I thought I was a cheapo. If I only have 50pp, I tip that, then on my next death I grab some extra cash and pay the rest.
Clerics rezzing people save them on average an hours worth of work. 100pp is nothing to pay to not have to repeat the last hour of grinding.
I can't believe that anyone would think "thank you very much" is enough of a repayment for that.
Maybe 50pp would be acceptable. But anything else I think you are being rude. Mana is always extremely precious when a cleric is in a group. So precious that the cleric may have to ask the group to hold pulls, so they can med after your rez. The very least you can do is compensate.
In my opinion.

for a travel rez, i usually pay 200 to 300pp, if i dont have cash im gonna offer anything i can find on me, items, gems or wtv, and if i really have nothing, i ask him if he want me to run to bank.
gotta treat them good :)

I'm only 15 now, so I don't bother even looking for a rez. Traditionally when I played before I would tip 100-150 and a port to pick up the cleric and then drop them off where ever they wanted to go. I also never took tips from clerics when I was porting.

I try to tip as much as I have on me if it's an out of the way place, sometimes 100 or 150. I also offer to port to a wizard location of the cleric's choice afterwards. If they refuse my donation, I add their name to my list of those who get free ports for life.

It really depends on the level to me. If you rez an entire group of people 45 and over, I'd want at least 100pp per group member, If you just are passing by and someone asks for a quick rez, not around the 50's of course it's going to be a lower amount. But generally the only people who want their exp back, are higher levels, and they will pay more for it. I like generally 100-200 pp a rez. If they want buffs too 200pp for sure

Last time i had a couple corpses i tipped a couple hundred plat and a cleric trade in spell for 56 rezzes. And mana pumped.
People tip what they got on em, nothing more valuable than xp.
