As far as I know, the defense skill may show red and a lower number, but I believe it's only superficial. Your Defense is fine.

The CS portion isn't fake, but I'm unsure on the whole, logging into any character in CS to fix the issue. You can always take an alt to CS and test it yourself.

Either way, it's a bit weird to offer random people access to an account. Could be RMT or boxing related, but who knows.

About the "visual bug" . It sure doesn't feel visual. It does that for offense and other skills too and I could have sworn dps on the pars was lower when the number was red.
