anarchy online old mmorpg, any opinion?

has someone played this mmorpg? its only 2 years younger than everquest

Lots of people played it. It was still up and running as of a few years ago - I’m not sure if funcom shut it down tho. It was a very cool game. That main Omni tek city with the people flying around in cars was awesome. I sucked at the game tho only got an agent to like lvl 50. It was pretty complicated or more likely I just sucked at it.

It's not bad, I played it for a couple years long ago. Although I subbed for a month about a year ago and really couldn't get back into it. Everyone left playing boxes, and the interface/UI is pure crap. The Shade is a pretty fun class, huge damage and aggro but low def/hp

They set up a kind of legacy server this year but it's run by like 2 devs and the company's support is nonexistent

I played the free trial back in the day and begged Brad to take me back to EQ.

The sci-fi take was interesting at the time. I played it just after launch but only for the first free month. The guys would tell you in chat that AO is better "because no elfs!" AO didn't have the art, world, character, UI design and sense of immersion that EQ had. This matters to me because I am a f*g for that stuff, more so as I got older.
