Just a few minutes ago. WE were but in hide but he dropped scintillating colours AEO and broke Siggul's hide. RIP Siggul, you were very good to group with.

Have waited for a NTTR rnf.

I am not a member. But my group partner was. Was killed because someone didn't adhere to the "Play nice policy."

Your duo partner got trained and then opted to delete his character you mean?

Sad times in EQ the loss of a perma death toon. Poor duder.

This is the hard truth. Though, if was was trying to be nice and offer us up a PL, he could have just asked vs dropping 20+ mobs on us and saying go for it.

Oh well, I am over it. Rant Off

I would think that if I was in hard-core mode I wouldn't hang near a zoneline. Trains always going that way. Or go into dungeons. It'd be all open world non-aggressive mobs.

Trains are unfortunate and might be actionable if petitioned, but if the other guy decided to delete his character over it that's on him and nobody else. EQ's a lousy game for that type of gameplay: You're at the mercy not only of other players, but of losing your progress the first time your internet connection decides to crap out. Got to go into it knowing any character created on such a ruleset is living on borrowed time right out the gate.

Wait...player-cast AEs can break other players' Hide on the blue server?

Pretty sure that's a no

Pressing hide doesn't always mean you're hidden, unless you're a rogue and you know you hid successfully... probably what happened there.

I'll be on the lookout for Santa Claus evil brother though, his days are numbered.

If you're in NTTR and you don't have a WC cap...well....GL

While I do mourn the loss of a NTTR toon, I don't think a player's AOE spell would "break" hide for someone else?

Maybe what you're thinking of is a character flopped / FD (say near Sir Lucan) and a second player brings over an *NPC* with an AOE spell that disrupts their FD? Again, not breaking hide, but the closest equivalent I can think of

I agree its like being on a pull team you should have a cap, seems weird not to.

What does NTTR do when they finally go up against a raid target that DTs?

It's a disciplinary measure. Their equivalent of /guildremove.

Press Hide
Clear your target window
Command "/target (player name)"

If the target window remains empty, congrats, your hide is working. I dunno if it's classic or not but that's how it is on P1999

I don't think raids are the goal of this guild... maybe?

Could get 40 wizards and one shot them, maybe? Would be amusing to see.
