I would imagine that the amount of beta testing required for SoV dwarfs that of Kunark. The raid encounters alone are sooooo much more complicated than those in RoK. Sleeper script will be interesting. And with the level of disinterest that was shown for P1999 Kunark beta testing, it'll be a wonder if P1999 Velious launches with any raid-ready content.

this coming from someone who joined this month, as if you have any clue. Our population will stay close to 1k until velious comes out, most likely it will raise for a few month and then slightly drop. As it was between classic and kunark. Go troll your crap server pls, kthx.

not to mention getting 3-4 groups into VP from one guild will in itself take many months.

If I were a dev here, I would make a forum filter that perma-bans any user who starts a new thread with the term "Velious" anywhere in the subject or body. Enforceable until the day the you-know-what beta goes live.

In the bugs forum Nilbog was asking about VS & Trak respawn times so they could adjust them. In that same thread he stated that there will be variance on that. So I'd assume all Kunark raid targets will have the same +/- 24hour spawn variance on them that Vox/Naggy. Making it more difficult for a single guild to lock-down a spawn (basically, who has the most dedicated poopsockers and the faster batphone).

As for the release of Velious, it happened in december of 2000 (~9 months after kunark).

So for P99 expect it to be 9+months from now, and nothing else.

As for the population dieing down, I've only been here since the beginning of march but the population in peak was 800ish the whole time leading up to Kunark. Can't speak for the months before as I hadn't stumbled upon this server yet.
