Blue Server PVP Event Freeport 4 pm PST Sunday August 11th

Going to do a PVP event tomorrow in west freeport. There will be no rewards, but I hope some people will want to fight. I am going to do a similar event to the one I did on red the other night.

I can't summon, so make sure you are nearby. I will PVP flag everyone and turn it off after. I will be able to rez after you die.

rules: no skeleton form unless necro.

round 1: FFA, no grouping/bard song for others. Final one standing wins

round 2: I will either do a group or guild vs guild event depending on the numbers.

I will do another FFA round 3 if there is enough interest as well.

Reminder: PVP event today on blue at 4pm Pacific (2 hours from now). The battles will happen in the freeport yard noob/trash area. First round will be a solo FFA. The second round will either be guild vs guild vs server or a group fight depending on numbers. I will do a third battle if there is enough interest.

Everyone I talked to had a great time. I didn't make most of the event, but got to watch the end of Round 1. Sounded like folks were having a blast.

If you do another one with prizes, I would suggest not pitting all of the Best In Slot raiders against the same amount of people with random drop gear.

Yea. Us vs them mentality. Forming groups (against the rules), buffing each other (against the rules) using voice chat to communicate (lame), and using wort pots and other consumables (lol guild funds).

I appreciate the effort put forth by the staff, however.

These are types of events that bring a community together, even though EQ pvp is horribly bad it still is an event that we lack hugely on this server.

I would love to see some bigger notice, some larger scale events held with awesome prizes. Give the people what they want!

Cool event, sucks I missed it. I will try to make any future tournaments given theres enough heads up. Glad there wasn't any rewards for this one, guild members grouping up to fight randoms is lame, AM/AW did that last time at the Rathe arena. Rewards should only be given to legit 1v1s 2v2s etc.

Bring back Best of the Best

I think PvP events are great and we need more of them to quench the PvP thirst many of us had back in the day (and still have)


On a side note, it would be cool if folks could flag themselves for PvP on and off for fun (ie same thing as Book of Discord). The problem is that you cant PvE at all if you turned in your book, since its permanent (really dumb). If you could pass that feedback along it would be appreciated.
