Below is a link to my monk in current gear. I have saved up about 3k and am thinking about saving a little more for an Imbued Fighters Staff, but I was curious what you guys would do if you had that much?

Any help would be much appreciated!

You’re not gonna get the most out of that IFS till a little higher level I believe there is a damage cap. First fill out all inventory slots so get yourself a decent belt item. Preferably STR DEX or AGI stats and keep the weight low as possible. That matters the most at your level.your best bet is get yourself some wus trance sticks for a few levels since you can proc them now. It will probably outdo that quivering staff. Honestly though, your gear is okay at the moment till about 45+ thankfully monks are less dependent on gear.

Correction* trance sticks proc at 35 my bad. Build your STR and AGI/STA (I’d you tank a lot) as much as possible. STR as priority. There is affordable gear out there heavy in STR. Slowly replace the items that don’t fit that category.

30 is prime time for 2H actually. His dmg cap is off but doesnt really have MH bonus damage. Most people will agree that 30-50 is best 2H time.

Get some HP in belt and back, and change out your necklace if possible.

The dragonhide belt or w/e with +sta is cheap. There's a lot of back options. Pick a necklace with some HP or str on it. More hp = more your mend will heal you. Dex / agi does nothing for you especially with no proc.

I agree with IFS being the first thing you should buy. An increase in damage is going to benefit you more than anything else. After that you're gonna wanna focus on HP and MR. Here are a few items you could try to upgrade to after the IFS:

Dragon Tooth Choker (good as head or neck)
Netted Kelp Lined Shoes (Not sure why I don't see more monks using these. Really good for the price and I don't the the other options such as Barbed Dragonscale Boots are worth the weight.)
Crystal Spider Eyes
Totem of the Warrior Spirit (I wouldn't recommend Idol of the Thorned. Not worth the weight. I'd use use Totem of the Warrior Spirit until you can afford an Othmir Prexus Totem.)
Earring of Essence
Spider Fur Belt
Wurm Scale Coat
Velium Blue Diamond Bracelets are also good for MR till you get some bracers of benevolence

I think you should devote your life to having 2 of each graphic type that you have in your inventory.

Concur save for IFS first. Disregard all advice to focus on “stats”. Good haste and a strong weapon are most important. Outside of those 2 gear pieces find lightweight ac, hp, and resists.

been meaning to ask about that. Does Agility really do much?

dex from my understanding only effects proc, in which case is no good to me if I have IFS because no proc.

lastly, i am overwieght, but going IFS should help that. how much does it hurt me being overweight?

The consensus of AGI is that as long as its above 75, you don't need to care about it at all.

Overweight / AC doesn't really matter till 50+

Hope OP got an IFS before the incoming price increase.

There are 3 things that actually matter for a monk leveling: fungi, weapon, and haste. Fungi is out of the question and your haste gloves are ok for now, so invest in the IFS you can legit use it til 60.

Next items you should eye are sash of the dragon born and RBG after that. Fill out the empty slots with with low weight whatev

Mesh armour is a decent way to pad empty monk slots. You'll make decent pp off gems/fs/duplicate pieces.

Alternatively you can usually pick up most crystallized silk pieces off thurg merchants if you want some measly mr.

Bristle silk is the budget fashion choice. You'll get group invites more easily wearing this.

peacebringer or Imbued fighters staff?

there is some discussion as to the peacebringer being better because of the lower delay and its more efficient in fights.
