I'm not sure if this was intentional or not.
Whoops, wrong forum. This was meant for Red.

This is the right forums. Red was "on the fly" adjusted by Rogean not long ago to have interrupt via sit/duck which nerfed "sit casting".
It is unclear and unanswered if the revert today was an accident, or it was decided to re-enable sit casting on red.

I believe this is the thread that was occurring when it was "hotfixed" into red recently.

Rogean fixed this while chatting in discord on 9/12.

This is broken again and has been twice not "hot fixed" by Rogean.
Can interrupt casting be added to the commit for RED?

At this point I can't decide if I like the red style hard to interrupt casting, or the actual everquest late velious era duck to instant interrupt style.
With our stuff + channelling you just never know when a spell might fire off successfully.

Wait I thought this was a classic thing that later became available in velious?

It is. Red should have changed to being able to hard interrupt (cancel casting) via duck a long time ago.
Apparently that happened, and then it switched back.

This will literally never be changed, sorry

It doesn't bother me anymore.
Can anyone confirm it was updated in velious, and then rolled back just because?

This was changed when a code push was copied from blue to red. On 2 subsequent patches, the sit casting was reverted accidently. Each time Rogean adjusted it manually. After the second time, it was changed in a more permanent way so subsequent patches have not reverted it.
Rogean mentioned it briefly after it was brought to his attention in discord.

To be fair, they did change it.
