Since the nerf patch my fps is borderline unplayable. Save all the "crappy computer" comments. My computer isn't crappy. Has anyone worked through this issue and have a fix?

Normally when someone makes a thread complaining about FPS and doesn't list their computer specs, it's generally a "crappy computer"

I've been having issues since pet window was reinstated.

I agree, nerf patch, ie get rid of pet window again ;).

Remember that they locked the refresh rate in at 60 hz, this may be what you are seeing as different.

I7 7700 / gtx 1050ti / 16gb ddr4

it's borderline unplayable at times. There is no chance i don't have enough pc to get 60fps.

Is there a setting to increase the FPS? I thought I seen something to increase it to 100fps. Does it work?

There's your issue... a 1050ti. Everyone knows the rec min is a 1080.

I play with a 1050ti at work on a near identical setup and get max fps. Please don't try to tell me a 20 year old game needs a good video card also.

I had the same issue some time ago - was a custom ui piece that caused it. Deleting then from folder solved it for me

I run EQ on Linux (on a 60 FPS monitor) and it used to run smoothly as hell. It isn't smooth any longer after this patch.

Also, do you a 3rd party program called EQplaynice installed?

without it installed my it750 was sitting at 80% use 100% of the time, after i installed eqplaynice, it sits around 10 to 15%.... normally full time.

eqplaynice is the only "legal" 3rd party program you can install, normal eq without it runs very very badly, its only purpose is to make eq not burn you cpu/gpu out.

and it does that perfectly, it might fix the problems your having.
