Classic EQ has sharp, PS1 looking low poly graphics which exudes a Tim Burton-esque style that mixes cartoon and fantasy without drifting into comedy.

Post-Luclin EQ's art style is such a colossal leap backwards with a miserable attempt at realism that loses levitation right in the middle of the uncanny valley. I understand if you like it because of nostalgia, but as someone who came to P99 with zero prior EQ experience I can say with no doubt I prefer the old ones.
