I wanted to make my new Green toon named Squirrelse, and make sure I had a level 2+ on blue of the same name.

It is a naming violation if the migration process does it? :)

(I don't think I'm going to do this. I mean who wants to be referred to as Squirrelse for the next 3+ years)

90% of these are better than the abomination of P99 names.

Ah, yes, a fine example of premillennial aspergers. Note the complete thought writing style organized by paragraphs, completely devoid of pictures. It was a simpler time.

Aah, Patiofurniture the Barbarian Shaman. The old "every good name is taken so I'll just put this one in and anger and oh look, it took it."

It was eventually changed.

My original EQ name was Landurin, Lan from a popular fantasy series name prefix and Durin being my cool name. Of course, everyone but me read it as Land Urine. Way to go 15 year old me.

I used to buy and sell accounts back before they banned it and a lot of the accounts would have alts/mules on them. Some had 8 names reserved, so I have a lot of really good names (like Janky, Tril, etc). I also was able to use the name Leeroy around 2011/2012 era. So I have the server's Leeroy Jenkins lol.

But nothing tops this name I found on an account. It was a dwarven female rogue with a beard named: Fartbiscuit.

Lol, I think I lol'd for 5 mins on that one. That name still exists on the server.

In the epitome of my nerdyness days of yore I named my live toon a combination of my ex gfs and my favorite stripper

Truly cringe 😬 inducing

An Iksar Monk named Youngergrasshopper Trainstopper

It was both stupid and kick ass at the same time!

I had a very similar issue with a character named Zuras.

I had one that violated policy on live so a GM changed it to fuzzybunny or something which was also against the naming policy

A friend that had a barbarian warrior named Icynads. He kept this name past Luclin but right before we all quit a guide finally changed it.. to Frostynads.

Back on live I tried to get my wife (then girlfriend) to play EQ.

She made her High Elf Cleric and applied her base stats, but when it came time for the naming....

"Sorry, name is not available..."
"Sorry, name is not available..."
"Sorry, name is not available..."
"Sorry, name is not available..."
"Sorry, name is not available..."

Finally she looked at me and said "I don't want to play"...

so I typed in "Idontwanttoplay" and it took. lol

She actually never did play after that.

I had a DE enchanter named Flekrad and an Iksar monk named Allizdog. I thought they were quite clever...
