I started playing Classic Everquest (Live) in 1999 when I was 12.
I started playing Classic Everquest (Blue) again in 2009 when I was 22.
I now have the option to relieve Classic Everquest (Green) at 32.

Every 10 years I get an opportunity to relapse into being a 12 year old again.

Once Green gets up and running with everything settling down, if so inclined, Rogean and Nilbog should write memoirs of their various trials and tribulations from the birth of Project 1999 through the present. It would be a good read hearing what originally prompted them to start, their dealings with Daybreak, how many times they considered shutting the whole thing down, etc.

Agreed 100%.

We're able to log on with virtually no down time ever to play a game we all love for free. That Rogean felt bad enough about the GMs having family emergencies etc to put together something spur of the moment just so it wouldn't disappoint says a lot.

So - maybe the event wasn't a blowout. But indeed... that P99 is there at all is fantastic. I'll take it. (And all the xp boosting we can get. Ha ha ha!)
