Will the recently implemented pathing change be rolled back, or should we expect it to remain for the foreseeable future? I only ask because I've seen no response regarding the recent onslaught of mobs falling through the world.

This bug appears to have gotten much worse with the recent pathing patch.

Please advise,

This doesn't seem like a priority to me. It's more important that you cant use two rows of hotkeys.

it's a world wide problem in game
mobs are consistently falling through the world on an every pull basis
surely this is not classic behavior

It's pretty messy. Sending a pet in the pet of the west wing of HS will almost invariably make him glitch around, disappear then appear from a wall in a completely different spot.

It used to work pretty damn well before.

you can no longer pull gukbottom supplier camp down the ladder

We're all here to test on Blue (for Green!) Whether we like it or not, that's part of the deal here.

I'm sure the devs will do their best to minimize any inconvenience, and fix things ASAP, but ... sometimes they have to break a few eggs :)

Oh boy did they mess w/ the pathing code again? Last time they did this, when Haynar altered the pathing code, it was simply ignored and never fixed. The biggest offender that time was Sebilis where, to this day, mobs frequently fall through the world and wipe multiple groups on their return trip!

The bug forum has quite a few examples for you.

Here are some:

seb jail, in brain room, Iksar shrunk x1, no lev, jail wiz gates, summons me to NG - stuck in world. /q'ed out, when I came back in I was at NG.

eye pulling jail from moats near tube rooms, iksar no shrink no lev, eye pulling and tagging with shuriken single mobs in line of sight, getting multiple adds out of line of site also from the jail. When FDing, they path back to jail through the ceiling and walls, going by left tube on their way

In general in seb, I am seeing new paths that are above/below the world for aggrod, fleeing, or resetting mobs.

I have also noticed this near Chardok entrance on fleeing mobs, specifically, feared mobs running into the wall below the high wall tunnel near the city entrance, in between the ramps going to zone out and in.

Exactly, this isnt just a few random examples - mobs are pathing above/below the world and social aggro is not limited to line of sight.

Velketor is awful, basically the entire zone. Sebilis is bad. Permafrost is bad at least in the ice giant lair....was hard keeping them from warping through the ceiling.

I have not--yet--had problems in outdoor zones where there was not another section of the zone beneath.

Bouncer Hurd attacked me outside Cazic. Brought him down to ground level and when he began fleeing he would warp to the sky and back down every few steps, so it's affecting outdoor zones to some extent. I imagine just not nearly at the scale of indoor zones.

Innoruuk was unable to be pulled in Plane of Hate, kept warping to the ceiling. Spent close to an hour trying to pull him before giving up.

Yeah it's in everyzone, mobs warp threw the ceiling it's weird. I think it happens when you pull from a higher Z axis.

I think the client does the 'drop the mob from the sky' when it gets confused about z axis issues and wants to reset.

I had a spider warp to the platform above at the Frenzied Broodling camp. I was moving it toward the ramp down to Crystal Eyes and it walked from that platform and warped up to the upper frenzied camp.

This caused all the spiders up there to aggro and had to zone out. Seems like it walked right from one floor to the next.

No Levi or Sow. Was just letting it follow me over to the ramp down.

I have fix ready for when Rogean patches. I tested in ToV with wurms. Those were working good.

Mobs warping and all sorts of crazy stuff in KC. At captain camp for example, moat mobs would randomly appear up there and agro, or just agro from down in the water. Pulling drolvargs from their spawn point sometimes they would path up into the ceiling and be hitting me while I couldn't see or hit them. I was xping solo up there and had lev on for the most part but sometimes not, this happened either way.

While we are on the topic of the latest patch, is there any chance we can just revert back to the previous one until the issues of the patch are fixed? Aside from all the wonky pathing and mobs falling through the world and warping all over, the removal of push to interrupt combined with a broken mechanic regarding mob mana regen / mana pools / mana drain has rendered some complete healing mobs un-killable. For example, Gozzrem, Jorlleag, Lepethida, and Grozzmel are essentially immortal (hours of many different strategies results in the same thing, infinite CHs). By extension Vulak is not able to be engaged.

This patch has rendered parts of the game unplayable, please roll back the changes until a fix is ready to go.

Stand on snow slope and side step left, right, repeat. The giants will path back and forth in a small area never being able to reach the player.
This can also be done in arena if the player is skilled.

The Arena loc is a bit more difficult it seems arena is broken up into triangles so when a player side steps in just the right spot it sends the giants back to the nearest node. aka away from the player and they path a different way. player side steps again. giant turns around and tries it's first path.

These pathing exploits have been in since velious release on p99. It was written off in the past when I brought it up under the guise of "classic had buggy pathing too"
