an unknown error [Archive]

I just switched accounts to my cleric to res someone, then switched back to other account and it says an unknown error occurred and I can't get past the server screen.

It was my fault. I swapped to loot a Breastplate, sorry.

wtf same thing, tried it befor i downloaded the 50e patch.. figured that was problem.. downloaded patch and still same thing....wtf

I experienced this "An Unknown Error Occured" before the patch. Downloaded most recent patch 50e. Still getting the same error. I haven't changed anything on my PC or client since playing last 2-4 weeks ago.

Update:

I am able to log in now. Normally I download the updates and extract directly into the Sony/EverQuest folder. It said "replace 720 files" when I installed and had issues still logging in.

After I posted I extracted the zip files into a new folder, and then dragged those files into the EQ directory and it asked "do you want to replace 731 files" now it worked and I can now play.

Hope this helps someone.
