Apparently my current UI that i use for Blue is incompatible with Green. It says "Your XML files are not compatible with current Everquest files, yadda yadda.
Does anyone have a confirmed UI that works with Green(Besides the hideous default?) I was previously using the VERTUI.
P.S. I read that it might possibly be due to Green needing to have a "Meditate" button for classic reasons.
Thanks

My understanding is we're all forced to use the default Velious UI on Green, until we reach the final patch.

You cant be serious? Where does it say that? This will 100% make me not play green at any period until i can get a preferred UI. The black velious one hurts my eyes too much.
I was able to load a custom group window without issues.

Does it use the same Velious UI backbone?

Also, be aware that this window will be disabled on Green, along with all Custom UI's.
From this thread (https://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333558) about the pet window catastrophe.

I use this one called Visibar

Any other ones out there? As i sit on the BETA my brain is developing a headache for just looking at it for 5 minutes. This is unplayable for me.

Sorry man, that sucks. I do think they are intending for people to not use Custom UIs until they were available in the original timelines. I think you can change the transparency and tint of the windows by right clicking each individual element but not totally sure. It is definitely a little disorienting for me as well, but I did play with it back in the day when they transitioned away from the old old old UI so I kind of remember what it was like.

I logged in and played on the Beta, mostly to see what the new UI would look like. However, they must not have updated that yet for the current Beta because you could still move windows and boxes around and it looked pretty much the same as it does for me on Blue.
XP was very fast so I couldn't earn enough coin to keep up with the spells I needed to purchase. I didn't encounter any noticeable bugs.

I'm unable to get this to work. Did you load it into the default UI, or create your own then changed to that?

You guys, NO UI's are supported for green except the default non classic custom velious ESQUE UI
I don't know if it is confirmed anywhere but I think this is what is intended to be used for the rest of the server history, which is a cryin shame.

I understand that custom UI's are not supported, but he said he got it to work. Thus my question to him.
I have customized it

I hope that staff can weigh in on the UI question it impacts game play a lot.

I wouldn't get used to this, that's why there's a beta. However you did it, I'm sure is likely to be ironed out by launch.

They already did. Rogean said, in no uncertain terms, that there will be no custom UI's on Green. I quoted him and linked to the thread on the first page.

Also, they've explicitly stated that Green Beta does NOT have the latest UI code. Therefore, just because you can "hack Green" (Beta) right now, it does not mean you'll be able to use custom UI on Green.
We all just have to wait for the players that are furiously trying to perfect the classic UI in time for launch, and then at some point after that the devs will apply that work to Green/Green Beta ... and presumably it will be "locked down" then also.

You talking about the 800x600 box UI?

No, resolution will not be fixed (AFAIK). I'm talking about the (currently in progress) classic "skin".
(Again, AFAIK) Green will have an adjustable UI. You will be able to have any screen size, and you will be able to adjust the size of the panels. However, the UI of those panels will be fixed, and you will not be able to /loaduiskin to change to a custom one.
I believe it's all modeled after the UI that was introduced in Kunark, before the custom UI (which Titanium is based on), but after the classic UI (which Titanium can't do).

Any sneak peeks at this new "skin". Id like to evaluate whether or not im going to be playing green before launch. Thanks for the info!

People have posted screenshots of the classic UI they're aiming to emulate, but I think you'll just have to wait to see their matching final product.
Really it shouldn't impact your decision at all though: I believe the new UI will be functionally similar to the current Velious beta UI (eg. it will have 6 buttons only), it just will look more classic (eg. the buttons will have that classic off-white color).

I suppose i will reserve judgement until i see this new UI. Hopefully it will be able to curb this headache..,

This (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/494034084) is the only thing I've seen about the one being developed. It looks a lot cleaner, IMO. But it's still pretty close to what we have now in the Beta.

If you hate the current UI for any reason other than aesthetics, you'll hate the upcoming version as well. Its functions are not being seriously altered; you're not going to get multiple hotkey windows/etc back. It's mainly an appearance clean-up to make it look more like the original velious interface. It does a pretty good job of accomplishing that goal within the (massive) constraints imposed by the Titanium client. Having been using the new version for a week or so now I've grown rather fond of it.
Note that the original Velious/Trilogy UI that the P99 version is based on allowed (most) windows to be moved around as well. Some like the bank window could not be moved in the original game, but that's not something anyone's likely to mind.
Green beta does not appear to be currently forcing a UI check beyond checking for a UI called 'velious' in the UI folder.
Folks worried about resolution limits are worried about nothing. The P99 admins specifically recommended some windows be made larger than their 2001 sizes so as to maintain good readability on modern resolutions.

We gonna need a very thorough wiki guide on classic, velious and p99's UI differences once we launch so as soon as we done, your work begins hehe :D
