Good afternoon P99 Folks,

Does anyone know if there is an option on the wiki, when searching items, quests, etc, to filter it by classic era stuff? I am trying to plan a lot of my first characters life out, but its somewhat difficult since its all a mix right now, and I wounder if I am just missing some easy to use filter?

I haven't found a great way, but there is a "Classic Era" category and a pre planar gear page. However be warned, I have noticed some incorrect info in the Gear section (i.e. Wu's armor for monks). Also, the patch notes are a good way of seeing when certain items / quests were added.

The great part of the wiki is that anyone can update it and you could start aggregating classic info into it's own page, or come up with a cool category of your own. I'd do it but I never played original and don't have a great set of knowledge on the subject.

The equipment by slot / class pages could really use an update. Currently you can toggle Velious off, but not Kunark. And even that will still show Stonebrunt, etc.

The good thing about the wiki is that most items have lots of useful tags. Let's look at an example:

https://wiki.project1999.com/A_Dark_Reaver
At the bottom you see:
Categories: Classic Era | Items | Shadow Knight Equipment| Primary | 2H Slashing | Lower Guk

This gives you an idea of the kind of things you can do. For example, lets say I want to see SK 2 hand swords that are not usable by warriors (sometimes those are better, or maybe you just want cool weapons with flavor. try this in your search bar:

"2H Slashing" "Shadow Knight Equipment" -"Warrior Equipment" -Kunark -Velious -Epic

The last 4 strings are all "-" meaning, don't show anything that matches those.
Theoretically instead of subtracting Era tags, you could just include "Classic" in your search, to find items with classic tag. The problem is, not all items are tagged! So you have to err on the side of including items you may not want.

If you find something without a tag, and it frustrates you, figure out the right tag and add it!

Great posts! It almost seems like someone should create some kind of "Finding Era-Specific Content" guide, or something like that, on the wiki ... hint hint, nudge nudge ;)
