View Full Version : Can't get past server select.

I can log into server select no prob, but whenever I select a server, there is about 5 second wait, then I get booted back to login screen.

This is all I found if it helps anyone figure out what is going on.

This could be an issue from overclocking your CPU.

I never overcocked it, don't even know how. Could something have done it through a program or something? I didn't have this prob till 3 days ago, and haven't changed a thing on the comp.

Ok, sounds like it shouldn't be CPU related then.

Did you ever have to add any exceptions to your firewall to allow you to connect previously?

I always ran EQGAME.exe through the firewall since install. Like I said, all was fine till 3 days ago. Firewall exception, I mean.)

Try flushing your DNS by opening cmd prompt and typing:

ipconfig /flushdns

Did that, said cache cleared, went to try to login, and same result, booted back to login screen after server select

Same problem I am having.

Works fine on my brothers win7 machine, but something about my Win10 machine is doing this. And it didn't used to...

Can you get to character select on a different server? Try connecting to Red and then a non-P99 server, and post dbg.txt afterwards.

Yes, I can get on a diff server, just none of the P99, (blue, red, green).

Looks like you're being denied authentication somewhere before it gets to the log in server. Most likely on your end, your ISP, router or something on your firewall (if you have one)..

But I haven't changed anything on my end. 4 days ago, it just stopped working. I tried running windows defender firewall off, and still no luck. I just can't figure it out.

Do you have any other accounts you could try logging in with? This was an account specific issue for one poster with the same debug error you're getting.

ipconfig /flushdns seemed to fix it for a a lot of others.

One poster had it resolved by updating their router's firmware.

A few people reported issues with P99 having issues with AT&T.

This could be an issue with something your ISP has put into place, but there's no good way to know if this is the case without just calling them.

Om tethered on a cell, always have been, so it can't be router. I dont have ATT. and I tried the flushdns to no avail.

I just dont know what changed from 4 days ago. A few in my guild are also experiencing the same thing.

Ive been having issues with my win10 for too long. Now I'm having "timedout" issues.
Ive submitted a thread. I've been playing on the PEQ server waiting for the blue to server issues to get fixed.
