Blizzard has been taking "code of conduct" very seriously when they realized that people have opinions and thoughts that dont align with their overlords.

every voice MATTERS
Great ideas can come from anywhere. Blizzard Entertainment is what it is today because of the voices of our players and of each member of the company. Every employee is encouraged to speak up, listen, be respectful of other opinions, and embrace criticism as just another avenue for great ideas.

Blizz = China now.

I canceled my account. Wife canceled her account.

I'm still going to play D3 Season 19 since it doesn't give them money but wife is like F blizzard. Will not touch their games again.

I did on my two accounts after i ended the subs. Instantly silenced for three days, lol

USA used to be so scared of USSR back in the day while China is taking over via corporate nepotism. Is nepotism the correct word? Same thing. Influence.

The idea is to coincide with the announcement of their next MMO, and they estimate this will also be good timing to take some attention away from Pantheon beta.

How is that a violation of the Code of Conduct?

Mentioning the name of a Private Server project for ANY game on the official forums will get your forum account suspended. It's in their terms. I guess they're still feeling butthurt over all the profit they lost to private servers and Nostalrius making them break down and admit a Classic offering was required after all.

I love WoW Classic and will continue to sub and have fun. Having scheduled raids that don’t require me to be on call at all hours of the day is really refreshing. Outside of raiding, there isn’t much that I enjoy.

I also love P99/EQ and will continue to play. Raiding is pure cancer, unfortunately.

You might like red 99 raid scene. TBH I don't know I don't do it, but it might make you less endure less cringuries.

I like blue economy too much to play on red tbh. I really enjoy tunnel questing when I'm not raiding.

I almost missed the funny in that comment. The Pantheon beta....in 1,000 years, haha.

I can't really say what you were banned for and I am not defending Blizzard. But browsing their code of conduct it may fall under "advertising" which is:

Advertising
This category includes advertisement of:

Any non-beneficial, non-Blizzard related businesses, organizations, or websites
If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

Be given a temporary ban from the forums, depending upon severity

Or it could be because they're trying to appease their Chinese Lord and savior Winnie the Pooh.

How is that a violation of the Code of Conduct?

Having any idea that differs from blizzard activision and not being a bliz drone.

In honesty I believe him saying he canceled his subscription is in blizzard's eye an attempt to incite drama.
If it's not advertising, I know people have gotten suspended for even just joking about canceling their sub.

I mean, Daybreak put out the press release in.. 2015? that acknolwedged P99. So... Not like it's some sort of "grey area legally" project.

Lol yeah that's a real stretch. I work in advertising and that's not advertising. That's not even viral or influencer marketing.

Yeah, not defending BlizzActivision's shady comic book villainy, which exists. But this clearly looks like some run of the mill anti-spamming forum rules. Otherwise they'd have tons of bots in there hawking every two bit fly by night new start up MMO that comes along.

I think they would have lost quite a few if any game/company was poised to jump on the opportunity. Epic tried but every video I watched reporting that didn't suggest trusting Epic when they said, "We would never censor the free speech of our player-base."

This is their mega-thread on the topic with 22,000 comments.

Wait. Was that just a forum/chat suspension or was that a total account suspension. If it was an account suspension, that was a total "bitch" move on their part. They got so butt-hurt that you cancelled your account that they suspended your account and are not allowing you to log in and play for the rest of the month you have ALREADY paid for. They took your money for their product, but are not allowing you to play said product that you purchased time for. Total bitch move. Again, if it was an account suspension.

It's just a silence on the forums. Used to have it done to me constantly as little bitches would complain about me on the forums. It only lasts for 12-24 hours normally.
