I'll submit this I originally wrote for another thread.

I saw a streamer high elf that ran to the boat across OOT as soon as the server came up, made a daring bindless run thru FP/EC/WC/Kith to Rivervale with the expressed intent of doing the stew quest which resulted in like zero exp.

300 people in GFay and 40+ in Crushbone, absolute non-stop trains from both sides of the zoneline all night. Some of the trains lasted 5-10 minutes just constantly loitering at the ZL because people kept re-aggroing them. It was hilarious and everything, but holy fuck was it a clusteruck. I enjoyed it a lot.

2600 people online in a game that feels crowded with 1k.

Tried to make the run from Steamfront to Qeynos at lvl 2, Mage, made to High Keep. Went to Gnoll side, hit the Champion with a spell to train to the guards, zoned back into High Keep and landed in Steamfront. D'oh!

That's basically a description of real life. Spend your time trying to become more powerful (successful/wealthy/whatever) until your world is destroyed (death).

Had this happen to the little rag tag group of gnomes I assembled. We were camping a spawn of a couple days at lvl 1/2, pretty obvious we were there. A lvl3 or so came by and started pulling every spawn from our little spot.

So, every time the kos named npc troll came by, I aggro'd her and trained her to the KS'er. Got us both killed a few times before she figured out I was doing it on purpose. Didn't get KS'd on purpose after that :)

Got tired of kills being ganked from me while soloing in front of BB. While also asking to be invited to the group of 4. Decided to head to the Haunted Ruins. Died to a giant rat. Ran back, died to a wolf on the way. Ran back again. Got first corpse, continued on to get corpse that had stuff. Got it. Died immediately afterwords from a dread corpse. Ran back, died again to that fucking wolf. Proceed. Corpse 1, Corpse 2. Died again to a skeleton. Ran back got corpse. Ran to close to Chandra Handler. Died. Ran back, died to that mother fucking son of a bitch wolf again. Ran back. Corpse 1, corpse 2. Watched a guy fighting a skeleton and losing. He asked for help. I Died. Logged. Thinking about logging back in now. I hate this game so much. But I know it's true love.

Deaths from wandering to unsafe areas and failed CR's. Sounds about as "classic" as it gets! I love i!

I was competing for spawns in n ro against a dwarf immigrant (bet he was a rogue).

He got into trouble against a fire beetle so i helped him out. We grouped up after that and things got smoother. Previously our competition was losing us mobs. After grouping up we were able to monopolise 3 x lvl 1 and 1 x lvl 2 spawns right next to a vendor.

Felt bad for the other low levels running around struggling to find mobs but none of them wanted to join us (apparently sharing would slow down xp) so we were happy with our 4 mobs / min cycle.

Grouping is best. On beta I grouped with 6 people and we slaughtered fippy like nutso.

I rolled and erudite necro and then outleveled tox and thought to myself "why not check out Qeynos Hills surely there will be better xp there" and proceeded to die twice on my way through the sewers and several more times to Nicholas BigFuckOffAxe in Qeynos and even more times in Blackburrow.

Each death required the run from Tox -> Erudin -> Wait for Boat -> Make it through the sewer -> Qeynos -> Qeynos Hills.

I finally ran into a level 13 mage who bound me and I don't know if I've ever been more thankful in my life.

Protip: sewers are fine if you keep to the west side and swim a lot. Avoid Frogloks at all costs (1x death) and keep up invis vs undead for the dreadbones (1x death).

Freeport seems to have been a bit cooler. Commonly 3-4 people in group camping the 2 spawn young pumas by the inn.

Everyone just chilling, socialising and sharing nicely.

Found a group at level 1 in Qeynos, leveled to 3, went to QHills and leveled to 5. Basically a full group for most the first night. Felt truly classic to be grouping in QHills at low levels. Literally leveling so much faster than I ever did on Blue because people actually wanting to group. It's been fantastic.

Had a Blooming Onions Mage near CB tonight aggro one of the group’s spawns, the group camping the entrance (about to pull that spawn anyway) gets up and kills the spawn. Blooming Onions member then claims that the group kill stole from them and tries to set their pet to guard on top of one of the spawn points. Obviously, not gonna be able to out-DPS a full group so I’m not sure what that was going to accomplish.

Sacrifice also seems to be filled with kill stealers and griefers for the most part.

but alas, after evading Griffins all day, I finally slip. CRUNCH.

Instant death. So much for my level!

ANNOUNCEMENT: 10 Minutes ...

I run back back to the camp and loot my corpse. Just as I finish, a huge orc charges me.

I panic and start to run. I'm taking massive damage. BASH, slam, swipe, stun.

I'm dead again.

ANNOUNCEMENT: 5 Minutes ...

I'm getting nervous and the restart timer is getting close. I navigate back to where I died from the orc.

I realize my corpse is somewhere near a known lion's pathing area, so I pull it aside a bit.

As I'm looting, I hear footsteps, only to look up and confirm it's the lion I was worried about.

I start to run, it turns. CRUNCH, paw, swipe.

Death number three.

ANNOUNCEMENT: 2 Minutes ...

I'm frantically strafe running against the clock. It's pitch black. I'm human. Naked, with no light source.

I find my corpse, but I can't just loot it yet. I peer around carefully for the griffin and lion.

It looks safe, for a split second. I pull my corpse just up a hill and loot, my fingers trembling.

I get the last bag off my corpse and I start casting gate.

ZONING, PLEASE WAIT ...

ANNOUNCEMENT: 1 Minute ...

I'd made it. I camped with 30 seconds to spare.

What a fucking ride.

Made a deal with Peachpit and his brother Powah to loot sashes for me and just give me the bronze weapons. After like 5 hours together, they DC, never to return. Heh. Made enough for my spells anyways.

First time ever playing cleric:

Launch day 1: Zone into Misty. Getting 2 frames per second. Move towards wall where there are less players and start killing. Snakes, wolves, rats... Ding level 2. Move onto beetles and shortly ding level 3. Time to implement my brilliant plan - head to BB. Make it thru Kith, WC, and EC without any troubles. Freeport is nice and busy. Get to dock, wait a few minutes and boat comes. Lucky me, didnt even wait that long. Zone into OOT, mute sound so sirens dont get me. A few minutes go by and game crashes. OHNO! Relaunch, log back in... and im swimming in the middle of the drink. Sigh. Thankfully im not far from spec island and then sister island. (not classic - the boat stops at both docks, luckily for me.) Make it to bb, run to kaladim. Nobody is high enough to bind affinity yet, so i risk it. Well, risk what? There are more players in BB then there are mobs. In desperation i attack a spiderling. Meh, not too tough but i get hit by poison. As i start healing, 2 goblins agro me. I rush towards the guards. Poisoned and beaten and out of mana, the guards dispatch my pursuers... and i gently die of poison. Zone back into Misty. Time to rest...

Day 2: Run thru Kith, WC, EC, approach the dock in FP as boat is pulling up. Must be my lucky day. Zone into OOT, mute sound, ride to BB without a snag. Get to Kaladim, loot corpse, start fighting over mobs again. Find a spiderling - ha bitch, this time i have divine aura ready. Attack it. Halfway thru, another adds. Get poisoned. Kill one, pop DA and run to guards. DA wears off but poison still on... and i succumb to it, yet again. Zone into Misty. Consider NOT going for my corpse, although i would sorely miss my first real loots - a small box and a cracked staff (it felt like the game was handing out free epics when i looted those hehehe). Zone into Rivervale to make my 3rd corpserun to BB, and notice a bunch of the same halflings running from zoneline to somewhere behind Fools Gold. Check into it and find my entertainment for the next hour - running between Uner and Tagil, making over 20pp in the process. http://wiki.project1999.com/Deputy_Tagil%27s_Debt its fantastic cash to start. Bank the cash, run to BB and found a 13 caster who kindly bound me in Kaladim. Finally

Start killing in newbie area and this level 4 mage sends me a tell asking to send him to his bind so he can get something. Me being the level 2 helpful druid that I am, I oblige and accept his duel. He immediately turns around and kills me. I laughed pretty hard and then he asked me to /consent him and he will drag my corpse. Fool me once.........

Told him to fuck himself.

You seem to be missing the point that the GM was trying to make. It is not for you to be the vigilante justice Batman of the server, if you want do so, then eat it like a man instead of lying/whining/arguing in bad faith when you get caught. Batman would have taken that suspension like a true hero.

oh and to top it all off, you then proceed to just shit talk and bad mouth the gms (which btw is another offense on its own FYI)

GM reviewed my case above and said he came to a ruling. Then he said he found out who I am on blue and said fuck it, he isn't interested anymore. FYI I've never been banned or suspended on blue and I've played since classic. I get the feel I'm about to get some sort of a full ban tho. If you guys never see me again I love u all.

Went home at lunch today to maybe kill a few wolves to get some pelts. As a lvl 5 rogue with tarnished wep I'm doing ok and then the shadow wolves start running at me from everywhere. I decide I need to run to the guards and run into a zombie who 1 shots me. I then proceed to get my corpse and get attacked by a black bear which I manage to fight off. Instead of getting any pelts I end up losing 45 minutes and probably 45 minutes of xping to get back what I lost. All felt pretty classic. Also barely made it to guards with a young kodiak on me and the other halflings were cheering when I made it with like 10hps to spare.

Still laughing about it. I probably will convince my wife I'm crazy as I laugh about it later tonight.

My horror story is lame but here goes.

300+ people in Gfay on Saturday night. No mobs to kill so I switched to blue. Logged into blue as my 23 Ranger who was in Unrest. As soon I got in the game I was immediately trained and killed. I was bound in Freeport so I start running to WC rings to try and find a CR port. I get killed by a griffin in EC. I start out again and make it to WC rings which were abandoned. I was only one there. No Druids porting, no PotG, no people assembling for a dungeon crawl or raid. Weird.

Finally get a port to BB and run to DC. I invis myself but I still get attacked by undertow skeleton. I root him and re-invis and take off. Invis breaks and he catches up to me right as I am near goblin tidal lord. Skelly breaks my invis and both mobs are on me. I die and lose my level this time.

That's when I decided to call it a night. No EXP on green, Lost level on blue, and my ranger has still not retrieved the main corpse yet with all his gear on it.
