If your Meditate Button OR Spellbook Icon is pure black and you can't see the button.

Texture ON (so you can see the art and not a flat color)
Tint White (240 240 240)

Relog

If you don't find luck doing this, try the following nuclear route:


Delete the file EverQuest\UI_yourname_P1999Green.ini
Delete the folder EverQuest\uifiles\velious
Recopy the files from the patch 52 zip file to your EverQuest directory
Launch the game again and enjoy
